About This Pub

Ah, Luke's Cider Tap – what a delightful little find it is, tucked away in the Georgian Village on Wood Street. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's all about that genuine craft cider experience; folks are raving about the flavours, made from real apples without any nasty additives, and it's matured just right to give you that proper, satisfying taste. The vibe is spot-on too – imagine a snug, intimate space where you can relax with friends, whether you're soaking up the sun outside or warming up indoors, and the staff sound like absolute gems, always up for a chat and making everyone feel welcome. But let's keep it real; it's not open every day, just a few evenings a week, so you might have to plan your visit around that. Plus, if you're after a full meal, you could be out of luck nearby, as it seems the food scene around there isn't up to much, and sorting out any quick queries without a phone number might take a bit more effort. Overall, though, if you're a cider enthusiast looking for a cosy spot to enjoy a quality pint and some good company, this place is well worth seeking out – just come with an appetite for great drinks and maybe sort your dinner plans in advance!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The cider here is absolutely top-notch – it's made from 100% real cider apples, matured for at least a year, and blended to perfection, which makes every sip feel like a proper treat.
  • It's such a cosy and intimate little spot, perfect for chatting with mates over a pint, with both indoor and outdoor seating that works well no matter the weather.
  • The team behind the bar are brilliant – friendly, knowledgeable, and full of personality, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • If you're a cider fan, this place is a real hidden gem, bringing that authentic West Country vibe straight to London, and it's even dog-friendly, which is always a plus for us animal lovers.
Cons
  • It's only open a few days a week, typically in the evenings, so it might be tricky to pop in spontaneously if you're not planning ahead.
  • Food options seem pretty limited around the area, so you might need to grab a bite elsewhere before heading over, as there's not much on offer nearby.
  • With no phone number listed, it's a bit harder to get in touch or check on things quickly, which could be a minor hassle if you're trying to confirm details.

This is a beautiful place, a small cubby hole on the outskirts of Walthamstow that brings cider drinkers joy. An intimate place for like minded folk, I can't possibly give this anything but top marks. But walk away from Wood Street for better food deals folks, nothing good to be had en route, cash is king freaks and rip off prices await you.

A hidden gem tucked away in the Georgian village in the middle of wood street market. Delicious small label cider made by the owner himself - if you’re a cider lover or novice, they’ll be something for you. Make sure to say hello to bob the dog 🐶

What a treasure trove Luke's Cider tap bar is! A revelation, an oasis for folks keen for that authentic cider wallup outside of the west country!! And the team here are next level beats! Catch the lethario barman Blake for dulcet toned approvals akin to 'once upon in Hollywood' and 'Walla' you've stumbled into paradise el-Wood street! Enjoy!!👍✌️

The best cider you'll ever taste in a beautifully cosy setting. Indoor and outdoor seating, perfect in summer or winter and will make even the biggest apple-skeptics change their filthy ways. No additives, just apples and good times. One of my favourite spots to drink in London and the only cider I will drink from now on. They sell cans and refillable cartons. They also have guest beer on tap, natural wines and cheeseboards with fancy sourdough bread.

Tiny with tons of character and some wonderful ciders. A must-visit for cider fans. Luke’s cider is alway delicious and this tiny taproom will not disappoint if you love the real whole-juice stuff. Lovely tap room highly recommended.
