About This Pub
Ah, the Lord Nelson Pub in Chorley – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a proper night out without any fuss. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars, always going the extra mile to make sure everyone's comfortable, and the food is where they really shine. We're talking homemade, hearty meals that pack a punch, like those Thai or Malaysian curries that folks can't stop raving about, or a spicy pizza that's apparently unreal. Pair that with a solid pint of beer, and you've got yourself a winner. It's got good parking, which is handy, and being wheelchair accessible and dog-friendly means it's inclusive for everyone. On the flip side, the hours do look a bit muddled – some listings have it closing earlier than you'd hope for a pub crawl, so it might not be the spot for late-night adventures. Plus, their website's a bit of a letdown, not giving much away, which could leave you scratching your head when planning a visit. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a friendly atmosphere and great value grub, but just keep an eye on those timings to avoid any disappointments.

A good friendly pub with good beer, excellent food, good parking and welcoming staff.
Harry was an absolute gent. I was working there and Harry insisted he made me a spicy pizza which was unreal. Highly recommend trying the pizza’s here.
Really welcoming and accessible in a wheelchair! Homemade and hearty food made perfectly. Feeling comfortably full and content. Dog friendly. I have been a few times and would highly recommend it!
Lovely pub & amazing home cooked food! The chef has lived in Thailand & does a great Thai or Malaysian Curry (choose strength), Salmon & noodle dish recommended. Freshly cooked cheese & onion pie & jerk chicken burger on the menu today. The chips are proper home-cooked & highly recommended! We have never been disappointed with any meals here 😋 x
Excellent food, very good quality and value for money, staff are lovely nothing too much trouble 😀
