About This Pub
Ah, Long Pond – it's one of those hidden gems that really hits the spot if you're after a proper pub experience without all the modern frills. The real ales are absolutely spot on, with a great selection of Kent beers kept in top condition and priced just right, making it a haven for anyone who appreciates a good pint. The staff are genuinely welcoming, and that quirky rule about no mobile phones creates such a warm, chatty atmosphere where you can actually have a proper natter with your mates. They've got some lovely bar snacks on offer too, which pair brilliantly with a drink after a stroll in the nearby woods. But it's not without its quirks; you'll need to have a card handy since it's cashless, and if you've got little ones or a dog along, it might not be the best fit as they're not allowed. All in all, it's a straightforward, enjoyable spot that does what it sets out to do brilliantly, though it could do with being a tad more inclusive for families. If you're in the area and fancy a no-nonsense pint, I'd say give it a go – you won't be disappointed.

A fabulous Real Ale House, excellent Kent beers at a reasonable price. Friendly atmosphere (and a real plus is no mobile phones, you can text ! 😀). They do bar snacks or ploughman's.
Superbly kept cask beer options. Welcoming venue. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
It’s a SE London Real Ale Micropub.
Great real ale, some wine and snacks.
Regulars have named tankards.
Mounted heads of Peroni drinkers on the wall.
No kids, no dogs.
They’re not trying to be anything that they aren’t and I respect them for that.
Decent prices. Only gripe is that it’s card only, but I understand that cashing up/ change can be a hassle.
Nice little micropub close to Oxleas Woods. Doesn't look like a pub from outside, but don't be put off, the landlord is friendly and the beers very welcome after a wander in the woods 🍺
I loved this small, friendly bar. The cask beer was in stunning condition - possibly one of the best kept beers I've ever encountered.
