About This Pub
Ah, the Lobster Pot by Marston's Inns – it's one of those places that really grows on you, especially if you're after a laid-back coastal break in Bridlington. From what I've gathered from the reviews and a quick peek at their site, it's got that warm, homely feel with staff who go out of their way to make you comfortable; they're always chipping in with helpful tips or a friendly chat. The food's a winner too – proper pub fare like steaks and burgers, plus some tasty specials that folks rave about, and it's all at prices that won't break the bank. Throw in comfy rooms with those fancy Hypnos beds and free parking, and you've got a solid base for exploring the nearby beaches or Bempton Cliffs. On the flip side, it can get a tad sluggish when things heat up, so if you're in a rush for your pint or plate, you might find yourself twiddling your thumbs a bit. Overall, it's a reliable choice with a 3.9 rating, mixing in plenty of positives from recent happy visitors, but it's worth noting it leans more towards a hotel vibe rather than a pure pub crawl spot. If you're planning a trip, I'd say give it a go for that authentic East Coast charm – just keep expectations realistic for a relaxed outing.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and always ready to lend a hand, making every visit feel welcoming and personal.
-
The food is a real highlight – think hearty pub classics, fresh signatures, and even a kids' menu, all served with a smile.
-
Rooms are comfy as can be, with top-notch beds and free high-speed WiFi, plus perks like free parking for an easy stay.
-
It's brilliant value for money, especially with the breakfast deal at just £8.95 for a full spread.
-
Tucked away in a great spot near Bridlington's beaches and attractions, it's ideal for a relaxing coastal trip.
Cons
-
Service can drag a bit when it's busy, which might leave you waiting longer than you'd like for your meal.
-
As it's more of a hotel with a pub attached, it doesn't quite capture that cosy, standalone pub atmosphere for everyone.

Good place to stay for an odd night or two. Hotel is across car park from the pub where you get breakfast and meals but works fine. Meals & Breakfast were good and staff helpfull.
Lovely food, and service. Super nice staff it was a bit slow however we understand it will be when it’s busy so we wasn’t too fussed. The tiny mint lamb pie with the lamb meal is amazing absolutely gorgeous it definitely needs to be made into a larger pie meal! The chicken burger and hunters chicken schnitzel were lovely, plus desserts are beautiful. Only down side was not enough chips but that’s all. Will definitely be coming back on our next holiday💖.
Great welcoming check in over at the pub on arrival and beds were very comfortable and rooms were very clean. Great value and great location for exploring Bridlington and Bempton Cliffs nearby. Breakfast was only £8.95 and that was a full cooked breakfast which included the continental too, great value for money. Check out was online and quick and easy to do. Would recommend.
Lovely base for a three day Spring break! Great staff welcome and attention -thanks Lindsey- including housekeeping and bar staff; family room spacious and cleaned to a high standard; beds & pillows comfy; breakfast kept us going right through the day up till evening meal (I'd love to post a pic of our "The Works" breakfast, quality ingredients, nicely cooked); had very nice sea bass meal one evening, good sized portions and well cooked; nice pint of Wainwrights, decent wine list and some good spirits on offer; extensive, well laid out car parking spaces; good security for entry to accommodation and room; good location for getting into central Bridlington or for touring the area; very friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. Will be looking for other Marston's to stay with!
This is the second time we have had a meal here and we weren't disappointed. The food and atmosphere were brilliant, we had a table in the dog friendly area which was perfect for our pooch.
I can't compliment the service enough as it was absolutely excellent. Nathan especially was extremely professional and friendly and made it a real pleasure to eat here.
I would definitely recommend a visit.
