About This Pub

Ah, the Lion Revived – it's one of those pubs in Nottingham that I've heard mates chatting about, and from what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got a lot going for it. Picture this: you've got this warm, welcoming spot that's just had a smart makeover, with everything looking neat and tidy, inside and out. The staff are absolute gems, always up for a laugh and making sure everyone feels included, which really sets the tone for a good night. There's entertainment to keep things lively, like music nights and that trusty pool table, and it's all paired with reasonably priced drinks that won't leave your wallet weeping. Plus, if the weather's on your side, the outdoor area with umbrellas is just the ticket for a more chilled-out catch-up. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – it can get a bit too noisy indoors sometimes, which might put you off if you're in the mood for a quiet pint. And with not much buzz online lately, it might not be the hotspot it once was, so it's worth popping in to see for yourself. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening out, especially if you're in Bulwell and fancy a place with character and a bit of heart.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and create a really welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
  • It's had a fantastic refurbishment lately, with a smart new paint job and updates both inside and out – the pub garden is a lovely touch.
  • There's plenty of entertainment on offer, like nights out with music and a pool table, which adds to the fun vibe.
  • Drinks are affordably priced, making it a great spot for a casual get-together without spending a fortune.
  • The outdoor seating under umbrellas is perfect for when you fancy a bit of fresh air and a more relaxed setting.
Cons
  • It can get quite loud inside, which might make it hard to have a proper chat if you're after something more subdued.
  • With only a handful of recent reviews, it seems like things might have quietened down a bit, so it could feel less lively at times.
  • No website means it's a bit tricky to check out the latest details or events before heading over.
