About This Pub

Ah, Lime Street Central – it's one of those pubs that really captures the spirit of Liverpool, you know? I've got to say, the team behind the bar are absolute gems; they're quick with a smile and make you feel right at ease, which is just what you want after a long day. The location's spot on too, slap bang near the station, so it's ideal for nipping in for a drink before catching a train or meeting friends. They're big on live sports and have all sorts going on, like quiz nights and comedy, which makes it a fun spot to while away an evening. And if you're lucky, you might tuck into something tasty like a steak pie that's been raved about. But let's be honest, it's not all roses – the decor's a bit dated and could do with a refresh to make it feel more inviting. Plus, the food's hit or miss; some plates come out great, but others fall flat, which is a shame when you're looking forward to a proper meal. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed vibe and good company, but I'd suggest keeping expectations in check and maybe sticking to the drinks if you're not in the mood for surprises. Still, for what it is, it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just go with the flow and enjoy the craic!

It's in a prime spot right in the heart of Liverpool, perfect for a quick pint after the station or before heading out.

-

The beer selection is decent, and from what I've heard, some dishes like the steak pie can be spot on for a satisfying meal.

Cons
-

The place could use a bit of a spruce-up; it feels a tad worn out in spots, like it needs a good clean and some fresh decor.

-

Food can be a mixed bag – some folks have had disappointing experiences, with dishes that didn't quite live up to expectations.

It might feel a bit chilly inside at times, and the options for food and drinks aren't always as varied as you'd hope for a bustling pub.

Went here before going to watch Hamilton. I made a booking but it wasn't necessary. The staff were polite & helpful. The place itself needs decorating & in need of a good clean but I have to say the toilets look like they have been renovated & were extremely clean. The food was terrible my grandaughter had fish & chips & the fish was over cooked, my daughter had chicken & she said the cheese on it was disgusting ( her words). I had a salad with chill chicken & new potatoes in it that wasn't brilliant either. We will definitely not be visiting here again & wouldn't recommend it.
First time coming in here, really enjoyed it, my friend and I had a lovely meal yesterday, steak pie, so tasty & great cocktails 🍹 Staff were great too, we come to liverpool very often so will definitely be coming back here, also a good location.
Nice and spacious place, with a decent selection of beers. We also tried the Trio of Fries but it was disappointing, as they were completely drenched in sauce, making them difficult to enjoy.
big enough, no information desk is clear. cold. not too much traffic. trains are full. not too many options for food or drinks. train are accurate. cleaning helpers are available. easy to reach platform quickly
One of the best places I’ve been in Liverpool. Need a drink after long train and it was on my way walking to my hotel. Friendly staff and good service. Atmosphere awesomely at top notch. Very classy.
