About This Pub

Ah, The Crown Hotel – it's one of those Liverpool gems that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? Tucked away near Lime Street, it's got this wonderful old-school charm with its Grade II listed decor that really transports you back to the early 1900s. I love how they've kept the intricate ceilings and bar details intact; it makes every visit feel a bit special. The drinks selection is spot on, with a solid range of bitters and beers that won't set you back too much, and it's a fantastic spot to unwind after a day of exploring or before catching the train. The staff are mostly brilliant, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, which adds to that friendly pub atmosphere. On the flip side, it's a shame if you happen to cross paths with someone behind the bar who's having an off day – it doesn't happen often, but it can throw things off a tad. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a relaxed pint in a place with real character, and with such high ratings from folks who've been there, I'd say it's well worth popping in for.

Great spot right next to Lime Street station to enjoy a few pints. It’s a nice historic building with a great vibe and very attentive staff. I would definitely recommend popping in for a drink or three whether you’ve been out shopping, or just hopped off the train after a long journey. Very central with great shopping opportunities nearby.

The Crown dates back to 1905 and have a lovely old interior. Superb detailed ceiling and bar. They offer a very good selection of bitters. I had the Black Sheep. It was £4.40. Decent pint. One of the staff was miserable. I store by the bar a few yards away and she could see me but would t come over as it was pretty clear I wanted to order! The other, younger lady with curly hair was very nice and helpful. Had a smile and happy to talk which is what you want when you go to a pub. A pleasant atmosphere in there. It looked like there were quite a few older regulars in there. Plus some tourists came in who were there for the football.

Lovely pub in central Liverpool. Perfect spot to have a couple pints and a bite to eat before taking the train at Liverpool Lime Street. The staff here were very friendly and attentive. They have a number of different beers/ciders on draft, plus the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely visit again!
