About This Pub
You know, I had a great time at Lillie Langtry's the other day, and it's just what you'd hope for from a proper community pub in the heart of Nottingham. The place has this cosy, friendly buzz that makes you feel right at home, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in for the evening. Their Pieminister pies are a real highlight – I tried one and it was spot on, with lashings of gravy and mash, though I did notice it was a bit light on the greens, which is a shame if you're after something more balanced. They've got an excellent range of beers and real ales, and if you're into sports, it's a dream with all the big games on those HD screens. The beer garden is another winner, especially on a nice day, and it's great that dogs are welcome too. On the flip side, prices can add up quickly, so it's worth keeping an eye on that, and it does get busy, which adds to the fun but might not suit everyone. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed get-together or a match day pint – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The atmosphere is spot on – it's warm and inviting, with a real community feel that makes you want to linger.
-
Their Pieminister pies are an absolute treat; they're packed with flavour and come with all the trimmings, making for a proper hearty meal.
-
A cracking selection of beers and real ales on offer, perfect for anyone who appreciates a good pint.
-
It's brilliant for sports fans, with live fixtures from Sky and TNT Sports shown on big HD screens, so you won't miss a moment.
-
The beer garden is a lovely spot for a sunny afternoon, and it's dog-friendly too, which is always a plus for us animal lovers.
Cons
-
It can be a bit on the pricey side, so you might want to budget accordingly if you're planning a big night.
-
Some of the meals, like the pies, could do with a few more veggies to balance things out – it's a small niggle, but noticeable.
-
It gets quite lively at times, which is great for energy but might feel a tad overwhelming if you're after a quiet chat.

Such good vibes, and you literally cannot go wrong with Pie Minster pies! I'd never had a proper Pie Minster meal with all the bells and whistles before, and now I don't think I can ever go back
Great little pub with a really pleasant vibe and amiable service.
Very decent pub, lively but a bit expensive. Nice outdoor space
Nice to still have the typical pub in a river of 'Cocktails 2 for 1' in Notts. I enjoyed my drinks there ... keep it real, we need normal pubs instead of a glass of sugar cocktail!
Chicken and mushroom pie was great. My friend had Moo Blue (steak and stilton) and loved it. The pies are served on a bed of mash with plenty of gravy served separately. Only quibble is the lack of veg. Would have been nice to have some broccoli or cabbage and carrots to round it off. Otherwise, no complaints.
