Lillie Langtry's in Nottingham

You know, I had a great time at Lillie Langtry's the other day, and it's just what you'd hope for from a proper community pub in the heart of Nottingham. The place has this cosy, friendly buzz that makes you feel right at home, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in for the evening. Their Pieminister pies are a real highlight – I tried one and it was spot on, with lashings of gravy and mash, though I did notice it was a bit light on the greens, which is a shame if you're after something more balanced. They've got an excellent range of beers and real ales, and if you're into sports, it's a dream with all the big games on those HD screens. The beer garden is another winner, especially on a nice day, and it's great that dogs are welcome too. On the flip side, prices can add up quickly, so it's worth keeping an eye on that, and it does get busy, which adds to the fun but might not suit everyone. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed get-together or a match day pint – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.
