About This Pub
Oh, mate, let me tell you about Leyton House Working Mens Club – it's one of those unassuming spots in London that surprises you the moment you step inside. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant, spacious hall that's perfect for all sorts of dos, whether it's a birthday bash or even something more sombre like a funeral. The drinks are dead cheap, which is a massive win if you're trying to keep things light on the wallet, and the staff sound like absolute stars, always on their toes and making everyone feel welcome. I love how it's got that old-school charm with friendly chats and a bit of banter, and it's even accommodating for families, which you don't always find in pubs these days. On the flip side, it's a shame there's no website to easily check if it's open or what the schedule is, and it seems like it might be closed right now, which could put a dampener on spontaneous visits. Still, with such glowing feedback and a solid 4.5 rating, I'd say it's worth keeping an eye on if you're after a genuine, down-to-earth spot for a good time with mates.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The drinks are incredibly affordable, making it a brilliant spot for a budget-friendly night out without breaking the bank.
-
The staff are absolutely top-notch – friendly, attentive, and always on the go, like Lara and the bar team who got rave reviews for their hard work.
-
It's surprisingly spacious inside, perfect for events like parties or even funerals, with a welcoming atmosphere that's great for socialising.
-
A lovely, old-school vibe with good banter and it's family-friendly, which is a nice touch for those wanting to bring the kids along.
-
Fantastic value for functions, with reasonable prices and beautiful decorations if you're hiring the hall for a special occasion.
Cons
-
There's no website or online presence, which makes it a bit tricky to check details like opening times or book ahead.
-
The operating hours aren't specified anywhere, and the place seems to be closed at the moment, so you might have to plan around that uncertainty.
-
As a working men's club, it might feel a tad traditional or niche for some, so it may not suit everyone looking for a more modern pub experience.

Visited here for a funeral. Really deceiving how big it is. I thought it would be smaller. Cheap drinks and good service. Especially by Lara and the lady behind the bar. What workers. They didnt stop all night. I hope their boss is paying them a good wage.
Had a great night at a party, my first visit here.
Great Place to socialise. Function hall. Great drink prices. Staff are wonderful.
First time I've ever been. What a lovely friendly bunch. The staff were lovely, friendly and polite. The customers were also the same. Very accommodating and good old school banter. The price for beverages was cheaper than I expected from where it was situated. Very good with children which is a big plus. Big thumbs up from me. My boy (aged 10) wanted me to add that it was a good atmosphere.
What a great hall. Hired and celebrated my birthday. Decorated beautifully. Great venue. Reasonable priced drinks.
