The Leather Bottle hosted us in their beer garden for a university alumni event and I cannot applaud them enough for their impeccable service and friendliness. From the email communications to the day of, they were nothing but responsive, professional, and helpful with our requests. One of my favourite pubs and will be back very soon!
Great fun place with a huge garden! I took a star off for service, not because they were not great but lack of staff on a sunny Saturday and certain drinks you had to go inside to get as they didn't serve them at the big bar outside. Apart from that, we all had a fantastic day 😊
The Leather Bottle on Garratt lane, not far from Wimbledon's football ground, part of the Young's stable. My visit during the build-up to a home game. Busy, rushed but still with great service and great beer. A great peaceful retreat in the lounge at the front of the pub (allowing me to write this!). Great pub.
We came to visit this pub with family because my wife's father and his family use to frequent it back in the days. There are a lot of stories in the family about this pub.
It has been renovated about 8 months ago and it looks well taken care off. The prices are ok, the staff is also very friendly
There is plenty of place inside or outside.
Very recommendable for a good pint.
There is a small parking on the left hand side and the park is very, very close. Also the milk is good There they told me ;)
*edit* this is 5 minutes from my house and cannot express how much we love this pub all the staff are amazing, we’ve done good, drinks, beer garden and even the huts outside too we love this place. Once again massive thank you to Isabella she’s an amazing host and always makes us feel like home. Ben also gave us a great time, super nice guy and we’ve seen him a few times out here.
The Leather Bottle in Earlsfield isn't just a pub, it's a haven for Sunday roasts. They boast what has to be the best beer garden in London, and the outside/inside restaurant area is a dream, especially on a sunny day when the whole place opens up. However, this popularity comes with a caveat: booking ahead is essential!
The service here is fantastic. The staff are friendly and attentive, and our waitress Bella was a delight. She found us a great spot in the sun and was always happy to check in and see if we needed anything.
Now, onto the main event: the food. We started with the beer sourdough and smoked anchovy and garlic butter. The bread was light and airy, and the butter was a revelation – salty and almost like a rich pate thanks to the anchovy.
For the main course, I opted for the West Country beef rump. The roast potatoes were everything you dream of: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The beef itself was generously cut, tender, and beautifully complemented by a punchy horseradish sauce. The gravy deserves special mention – rich, meaty, and the perfect salty counterpoint to the rest of the dish. The portion size is perfect – it seems daunting at first, but you'll leave feeling satisfied, not stuffed.
At £22, the roast is fantastic value. They also have a great drinks selection, including a good variety of wines. If you're looking for a recommendation, I can't recommend the Te Henga Pinot Noir enough for a hot summers day red.
Overall, The Leather Bottle is a winner. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and a Sunday roast that will leave you wanting more. Just remember to book ahead!
