About This Pub

Ah, the Lady Mildmay – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a proper night out or a quick bite. I've heard from folks who've been there that the food is a real highlight; everything from the steak with chimichurri to the changing menu of dips, snacks, and hearty mains keeps things interesting and delicious without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is spot on too – lively without being overwhelming, perfect for catching up with mates over a pint of beer or a glass of orange wine. The team behind the bar are usually cheerful and attentive, which really adds to the welcoming feel, especially on a quiet Monday. That said, it's not all smooth sailing; when it gets busy, the service can lag a bit, so you might end up waiting longer than you'd like for that next round. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a reliable spot in London for good grub and good times, just pop in knowing it might be worth going early to avoid the rush.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot-on – think perfectly cooked steaks, delicious sides like rocket and potatoes, and tasty options like fried potatoes and marinated olives that keep things fresh and exciting.
  • It's got a lively and vibrant atmosphere, making it a brilliant spot for a casual get-together with friends or a relaxed weekday lunch.
  • The staff are generally friendly and helpful, adding a warm touch that makes you feel right at home.
  • Prices are moderate, with great value deals like the £10 menu, and they've a good selection of beers and wines to suit all tastes.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit hit-and-miss when things get busy, so you might have to wait a tad longer for your order.
  • As it's a popular local, it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends or during peak hours, which might make it feel a bit crowded at times.

Very good food and lively atmosphere, with a nice mix of people. Service can be a bit spotty when they're busy, but is to be expected in a popular local, I suppose.

Had a weekday lunch with a local friend. £10 menu looks great. We had main plates which were excellent plus very palatable Portuguese wine . Lots of punters ( it was a Monday) and really friendly helpful service.

My friend and I came to Lady Mildmay and we had the most lovely Friday evening. The steak was cooked perfectly and the chimichurri was delicious. The rocket and potatoes complimented it so nicely - it was the perfect dish!! Would definitely recommend The atmosphere is so nice and vibrant and staff are attentive and welcoming.

Orange wine, good selection of beers, delicious menu, cozy dining. Honestly, couldn’t ask to have a better neighbour. The menu always changes and offers everything from dips and snacks to more substantial meals. I would definitely recommend trying their fried potatoes, bread and marinated olives. Veggie and vegan options are available. I wish they had a beer garden, so that’s the only downside.
