About This Pub

Ah, the Jolly Farmers – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered, the staff really go the extra mile; they're chatty, efficient, and make sure everyone's looked after, much like the rave reviews for folks like Rachel and Matilda. The food's a winner too – fresh, flavoursome dishes and a good selection of locally brewed ales that pair perfectly with the cosy setting, whether you're snug by the fire or out in the garden on a sunny day. It's brilliant for all sorts, from families enjoying a meal to dog owners grabbing a pint, and they've got fun events like music tribute nights that add a bit of excitement. On the downside, though, it does fill up quickly, so you might end up queuing or wishing you'd booked ahead, and the kitchen closing early could cramp plans for a late supper. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a chat, with that 4.1 rating showing it's generally a hit, but with a few niggles that keep it real – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant, always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • The food is spot on – think freshly spit-roasted chicken, tasty real ales, and even special treats for dogs, which is a lovely touch if you're out for a walk.
  • It's got such a cosy atmosphere with log fires, snug corners, and a garden for when the weather's nice, perfect for relaxing with mates.
  • They host all sorts of events like music nights and tribute acts, plus options for private hire, making it great for groups or special occasions.
  • Wheelchair accessible and family-friendly, so it's welcoming for everyone, whether you're popping in for a quick pint or a full meal.
Cons
  • It can get pretty busy, especially on weekends or for events like Sunday lunches, which might mean waits for tables or service.
  • The kitchen shuts a bit early, around 9 or 10 pm most days, so if you're after a late-night bite, you might be out of luck.
  • Being a bit tucked away from the main hustle of Enfield, it could feel like a trek if you're not local or driving.

Had a brilliant experience at the Jolly Farmers. Rachel was excellent from start to finish: friendly, attentive and made us feel really welcome. The rest of the staff were just as lovely, providing great service throughout our visit. Food was spot on and came out quickly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Would definitely come back again.

First time going there after being invited by my friends. I wasn't sure what I was going to get being a pub and with kids. But I'm so glad we went. We absolutely loved the food and we all finished our foods which is rare thing for us. I'm definitely recommending them to everyone. Going back there very soon. Plus the waiter was so lovely and friendly, not to mention patient. Lovely atmosphere too. Loved everything ❤️

We walked in on the off-chance today and managed to get a table for lunch. It was busy but we were seated promptly. Our server named Bonnie-Lee was superb! She was pleasant, efficient, patient and dynamic….. she kept the dining area running like clockwork! Our main courses were freshly cooked and delicious. We were quite full but given the wide variety of desserts we indulged - and are glad we did as they were heavenly!!! All in all a lovely dining experience and Bonnie-Lee deserves a promotion!!!!
