About This Pub
Ah, the Robin Hood – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away in Enfield with a history dating back to 1904 as part of the McMullen's family. I love how they've nailed the British pub experience, with hearty food that's all about fresh, seasonal ingredients and standout Sunday roasts that pair brilliantly with a pint of their cask ale or a nice glass of wine. The beer garden is a real highlight, ideal for lazy afternoons when the weather's on your side, and the inside spots like the log fire or the conservatory add that cosy touch for when it's raining cats and dogs. The team there are genuinely lovely, always making you feel welcome and on top of things, which makes for a relaxed catch-up with mates. On the flip side, it's not without its off moments – like on packed days, you might end up waiting ages for your food, or find that little niggles with flavours or temperatures let things down a tad. Still, with its reasonable prices and inclusive feel, it's a solid spot for a meal out, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, just maybe plan around the crowds to keep things smooth.

The food isn't always served piping hot, which can make a difference on a chilly day.

We were here on a busy Father's Day. We had booked a table for seven and were given the option to either dine inside or in their lovely beer garden (we chose inside). For starters I had what would have been a perfect prawn cocktail except it had coriander which over powered the other flavours. For mains we all chose the roast, I had a delicious lamb roast, the portions are very generous, in fact I was so full I skipped dessert. Even though it was very busy the service was good. This restaurant is great value for money, we paid less than £40 per head for three courses and drinks, including four whiskies, a bottle of wine, beer and soft drinks. We will certainly be returning to this pub.
A lovely roast with family. Couldn't fault the food, service or atmosphere. Would recommend anyone to try the roast pork.
Disappointing Mother’s Day Experience Despite Polite Staff
We visited this pub for the first time on Mother’s Day and unfortunately had a poor experience. The wait for the first course was 1 hour, 15 minutes, and 30 seconds. Concerned about further delays, we asked how long dessert would take and were told it wouldn’t be long. We ordered four portions of tofu pudding—nothing complicated—but waited 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 30 seconds for them. Yes, I timed it.
The wait staff were lovely—polite and apologetic—but clearly under pressure and unable to do more than say sorry. The problem seemed to be entirely in the kitchen. Other customers looked just as frustrated, so it wasn’t just us.
The pub has good reviews, so maybe this was just a bad day. Still, they need to sort out their kitchen staffing or processes. Right now, it’s not good enough.
I am so impressed by this place. Been there 3 times so far with family and friends and what amazing food!!! So tasty and the service is brilliant. Such smiley friendly staff could not recommend this place enough. Price reasonable as well you definitely leave satisfied.
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday Roast this afternoon, the beef was delicious! Despite it being very busy, we were checked up on several times and the whole team including Max were super friendly. Only thing that could be improved was the temperature of the food, could have been hotter for my liking, but never the less I will be returning for a yummy roast again 😊
