About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Winchmore Pub—it's one of those spots that just warms your heart, tucked away in the heart of the community with a real homely feel. I love how the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and the food is generally spot on, especially those Sunday roasts that folks can't stop raving about; pair that with their excellent drinks selection and it's a proper treat. It's brilliant for families or even popping in with the dog, and that beer garden is just the thing for a relaxed afternoon. On the downside, I've heard a few grumbles about some meals not quite hitting the mark, like a roast that didn't live up to expectations, and with prices on the moderate side, it might not be the cheapest night out. All in all, it's a fantastic place for a catch-up with mates, as long as you keep those little niggles in mind and maybe book ahead if you're in a bigger group.

The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming, plus the pub has a nice atmosphere - great for a drink.
However, my Sunday roast was disappointing.
I chose the Shropshire Grass Fed Sirloin of Beef, for £21.
The food arrived fast.
The other two people in my group chose the pork belly and the ‘Ultimate’ roast - the portion sizes for those dishes looked relatively healthy.
In contrast, I was given two wafer thin slices of meat, the kind you get pre-packaged from the supermarket deli section.
Other gastropubs in the area give you flavoursome, large quantities of meat for their Sunday roasts that leave you satisfied.
But the lack of beef on my plate was unacceptable, leaving me hungry.
To add insult to injury, as I was leaving a member of staff sat on the table next to me with a large roast - including super thick, succulent, multiple slices of beef that I was expecting as a paying customer.
Even though I had a nice time with my group, I won’t be returning for food.
My first time in this pub was for a close friend's funeral wake. This absolutely lovely pub, and polite, professional staff, helped everyone there send off our friend in the best way possible. Aside from the drinks, the food was delicious also; I was really impressed with the pizzas which were authentic and classy. Thank you to all, it helped make a difficult day a celebration of a cherished person's life.
We had a great time at The Winchmore! Tried the macaroni bites, buffalo wings, and cauliflower wings — all absolutely delicious, especially paired with the buzzing atmosphere of their 10th anniversary celebration. Great vibes, friendly staff, and a lovely local feel. Here’s to another 10 years! 🥂
Winchmore Hill has outstanding pubs. The W is my favourite. Best food, best drink, best hospitality and best dog.
I was driving and looking for a place to eat when I drove past the pub and decided to try it out. I found a parking space on a street nearby and parked my car there.
I had just finished a dental appointment and was very hungry 😋
I walked to the pub and was greeted by a friendly waitress who led me to a sit and gave me the menu options. She ran through the specials and asked me what I would like to eat.
I placed my order and then she asked if I wanted a drink. I asked for a cup of cappuccino which was brought promptly.
I had ribs and sweet potatoes with coleslaw which was so lovely and tasted so good.
The coffee was lovely too and the almond biscuits were lovely too! I asked for another one and the waitress gave it to me for free!
My experience was so nice and I will be returning with friends and family.
The ambience was cool and relaxing 😌
A dog was sitting around me but I wasn't sure if I could pat or stroke it so I let it be. It looked friendly.
My impromptu visit was worth it. The meal wasn't expensive and I was very happy with the service ☺️
