About This Pub

Ah, the Imperial Bar – it's one of those places that just warms your cockles from the moment you step inside. From what I've gathered from folks who've popped in, the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's looked after, which really sets the tone for a great night out. The atmosphere is just right too; it's got that welcoming buzz with a crowd that's easy to get on with, ideal for sinking a few pints or catching up with mates. And let's not forget the drinks – the Guinness is spot on, fresh and poured just how it should be, paired with food that's not only tasty but also brilliant value, whether you're in for a quick lunch or something more. On the flip side, it's a shame there's no website to make planning easier, as you might have to wing it a bit with the details. Plus, the operating hours could do with a bit more clarity to avoid any surprises. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just go with an open mind and you'll likely have a top time.

During our 4 day stay in Bangor, we visited this place 3 times and ate lunch twice. Food was very good and an excellent value for the price. Guinness tasted fresh and the staff was very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I love the Imp, as it's lovelingly nicknamed, or Georges, or the red place which I'm almost ashamed to say. My stepdaughter has called it that since she was 4. She's now 9. She loves George. Ideal for a light lunch that's also light on the pocket. Guinness is great. Service spectacular especially Stephen. Decor delightful. Alliterations aplenty. A classic Bangor boozer that shouldn't be passed.
