About This Pub

Ah, Icaro Lounge – it's one of those places that just feels like a warm hug when you walk in, especially in Burnley where options can be a bit hit or miss. I've heard from folks who've raved about the food; it's all-day dining with a wide variety that caters to everyone, from meat lovers to those going plant-based, and the deals like getting a cheeky cocktail for a steal make it even better for a casual night out. The atmosphere changes throughout the day, which is brilliant if you're popping in for a coffee in the morning or winding down with friends in the evening, and it's got that home-from-home vibe with accessibility features that make it welcoming for all. On the flip side, though, it's not all roses – some have mentioned that service can be inconsistent, with orders occasionally getting mixed up or taking ages, and while the mains are generous, the tapas might leave you a tad underwhelmed. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed get-together; just go in with realistic expectations and you'll likely have a great time, especially if you catch one of their specials!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food here is absolutely spot on – think tasty mains with generous portions that leave you feeling well satisfied.
  • It's got a really welcoming atmosphere, perfect for catching up with mates over drinks, and they cater brilliantly to all sorts of diets like vegan and gluten-free options.
  • Staff are always friendly and helpful, making every visit feel like a proper treat, plus there are some cracking deals like Tapas Tuesdays to keep things affordable.
Cons
  • Sometimes orders can go awry, with food arriving wrong, overcooked, or taking a bit longer than you'd hope, which can put a dampener on things.
  • Portion sizes for the tapas and sides are just okay, not as hearty as the mains, so you might end up wanting more if that's what you're after.

Ate on the 19th May. 3 different mains. The food was excellent, very , very tasty. Portions were huge. One member of the group ( teenager ) asked for a dessert but didn't have it. Later asked for a milkshake - no milk. Assistant manager (Dominic) who was brilliant all night, came over to say if she was happy to wait, they would cook some cookie dough for her. Wow, she was super happy. Thank you for this lovely gesture.

Staff are always friendly. When the main meals arrive without any issues they are always good. But with that being said, I'd say a third of the food we have ordered over many visits has either been, wrong, burned or taken ages to arrive. The tapas and side dishes are ok, but the portion sizes are diabolical for the price. Korean "king" prawns in the image. The layout and decor give it a nice, bright and open atmosphere. Its a decent place, but would be better if they upped the food and drink quality a little

First visit on a Friday night meal in town, just having drinks & check the place out. A lovely atmosphere with plenty of seating, beautiful interior. Outside before entry there is a Menu board, I was delighted to be informed they also cater for Vegans & Gluten Free menu. Had a lovely slice of Lemon drizzle cake, other friends had beer/wine from the bar, also hot drinks available. Open from am all day various food is available.

Lovely place that has an old school vibe to it. Influenced by a few different places around the world foodwise. Seems like it's aimed more towards veggie and vegan options which is fine as there are plenty of meat options available. I went for the chicken kiev burger which was fantastic!! My partner wanted the steak but it was the only thing they didn't have, shame really as he settled for a chicken flatbread with triple cheese fries which was good but not what he wanted and the chips only had 1 type of cheese which was slightly disappointing for him. They have a brilliant drinks menu and the cocktails were lush. Went for the cherry bakewell, it was fantastic. Also the craft beer was tasty. Brill atmosphere and the staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back to try some more of the menu. Different to all the other restaurants in Burnley which is refreshing.
