Hewitt Arms in Worksop

You know, when I popped into the Hewitt Arms, I have to say, it really won me over with its cosy feel and the friendly folk behind the bar – it's just that sort of place where you settle in for a good chat and a drink. The setting is absolutely spot on, nestled by the lakes with some cracking views that make it ideal for a chilled-out afternoon or evening. It's got this unique, quirky character that's a bit off the main paths, which I love because it feels like a hidden treasure you don't find every day. But, on the flip side, the opening times are a right faff; it's only open three days a week and the hours jump around, so you'd best check ahead or you might find yourself staring at a closed door. And when it does get busy, the noise can ramp up a bit, which isn't everyone's cup of tea if you're hoping for a peaceful pint. All in all, though, it's a solid choice if you're nearby and fancy something a bit special – just go in with realistic expectations, and you'll likely have a great time.
