About This Pub

Ah, the Hapton Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away in Hapton village, where you can pop in for a casual coffee, catch up with mates over drinks, or dive into some seriously tasty food. I love how the team there really goes the extra mile with their friendly service and home-cooked dishes; those Sunday lunches are becoming a bit of a legend around here, and the beer garden is an absolute winner when the sun's out, holding loads of folk without feeling cramped. Plus, with quiz nights and live music on the cards, there's always something to liven up your visit. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few grumbles about seating arrangements on colder days – you might end up in a draughty spot if it's breezy, and some meals could do with a tad more on the veg front to balance things out. Overall, it's a solid spot for a relaxed evening or a family gathering, and I'd say it's well worth a try if you're in the area, just maybe book ahead for the busier times to avoid any hitches. What do you reckon, fancy giving it a go next time?

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and top-notch service that makes you feel right at home.
  • The food is spot on – home-cooked meals, especially those Sunday lunches, are a real treat and offer great value for a hearty feed.
  • It's super dog-friendly, which is brilliant if you're popping in with your furry mate for a pint and a bite.
  • The beer garden is a gem on sunny days, with plenty of space for a crowd and that all-day sun making it perfect for a relaxed afternoon.
  • They've got a lively vibe with regular quiz nights, live entertainment, and even a function room for special occasions, keeping things fun and engaging.
Cons
  • Occasionally, seating can be a bit tricky in bad weather, like getting placed near doors on a breezy day, which might leave you feeling the chill.
  • Some dishes might skimp on the sides, such as a small amount of veg with your meal, which could leave you wanting a bit more on the plate.

Great little pub, food was excellent. Friendly bar staff and a great landlord and landlady. My dog was made to feel very welcome, as we're we. Thank you

What Happen To The Veg? Decided to book to go to the Hapton Inn. The weather was cold and breezy and they sat us between two doors. Eventually we had to ask to be moved, which they did. We ordered the food which for the main part was very nice, but 3 little slices of carrot, a very small amount of broccoli and some rather watery mash didn't really cut it for the veg. You know there's something wrong when the staff don't ask you how the meal was. Otherwise a nice meal.

Had lunch for three of us today, all meals were excellent, tasty and good value. We chose of the lunch special menu. The bar and service staff were both cheerful, very helpful and friendly. No complaints at all, will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely day in the sunshine too!!

Great food and service. Particularly like the challenge idea....reminds me of the Barley Mow mixed grill challenge from years ago. Food was delicious.😉👍

The Hapton Inn, Hapton, Lancashire. I went to Hapton for an enduro experience day and kind enough to let me stop over in my VW camper in their car park for 2 nights. The pub itself is lovely. Got very busy both nights but not surprising as the food is lush. I enjoyed one of the best roast lambs I've ever had. Staff are really friendly, and the Locals too. If you walk up the right side of the pub there are the most spectacular views! It's not far from Accrington, Burnley, and Rossendale valley, all lovely areas. Lots to do. Totally recommend.
