About This Pub

Oh, The Bridge Inn – it's one of those classic pubs that you stumble upon and think, 'This is just what I needed.' From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, the place has this lovely, homely feel that makes it easy to settle in for the evening. The staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's having a good time, which really adds to the charm. Then there's the entertainment – Saturdays bring live music that gets the crowd buzzing and people dancing, and Fridays offer a free jukebox and karaoke for those who fancy belting out a tune. The drinks and snacks are spot on too, with a nice variety to choose from. But, to keep it real, I've heard a few murmurs about the landlord being a bit of a grump on occasion, and there are some rules that might feel a bit strict if you're not in the mood for it. All in all, it's a solid spot for a pint and a laugh, as long as you go in with the right expectations – it's got that community spirit that's hard to beat.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Fantastic atmosphere that's warm and homely, perfect for a relaxed catch-up with mates
  • Brilliant live music on Saturdays that gets everyone up and dancing – it's a real highlight
  • Free jukebox and karaoke on Fridays, which is a fun way to let loose and have a sing-along
  • A solid selection of drinks and snacks that hit the spot after a long day
Cons
  • The landlord can come across as a bit obnoxious at times, which might put a dampener on things
  • There are some strict rules in place, like no e-cigging, that could feel a tad overbearing if you're not expecting it

Excellent service and friendly landlord and landlady. Great live music on a Saturday - we saw Stolen Goodz, who had people up dancing all night

The interior of this pub is very warm, welcoming and homely I'd say but I find the landlord a little obnoxious and I'm quite certain if he reads this honest review he will dismiss that fact. His staff are better. Not a bad pub on the whole. What ever you do don't ecig because they'll bloody catch you. They're watching!
