About This Pub
Ah, the Grey Horse Inn – it's one of those hidden gems in Manchester that just warms your cockles on a chilly evening. I have to say, what really stands out is the inviting atmosphere; it's got that classic pub feel with friendly faces all around, and the beer selection is spot on, especially the cask ales from Hyde's Brewery – I tried a stout that was an absolute delight. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and it's all so reasonably priced that you can enjoy a few without worrying about the tab. On the downside, it's a compact little spot, so if you pop in on a lively night, you might find yourself jostling for space or having to wait for a seat, which can take the edge off the fun. Plus, there's no grub on the menu, so if you're peckish, you'll need to venture out for some food. All things considered, it's a cracking place for a relaxed catch-up with mates, as long as you don't mind the occasional squeeze – definitely worth a visit if you're after that authentic pub experience in the city centre.

-
It's got that traditional pub charm with bench seating and a light, airy feel, even in a small space.
-
Prices are spot on for a good drink, offering great value without breaking the bank.
Cons
-
It's on the small side, so it can get pretty crowded and space is at a premium during busy times.
-
No food on offer, which means you'll have to pop somewhere else if you're after a bite to eat.
-
Access might be a tad tricky with a couple of steps up, and it fills up quickly, so plan ahead if you're in a group.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere in this traditional pub in the heart of Manchester. Good cask ales and pleased to see that there was a stout available which was excellent.
A lovely cosy bar with great beer selection, lovely staff & even nicer customers.
Lovely pub up a couple of steps. Small, friendly and atmospheric
It has bench seating and has a light and airy feel. Like the nearby Circus it claims to be one of the smallest pubs in Manchester. It can get busy and space is at a premium. Real ales on the hand pumps from the local Hyde's Brewery.
Very good small Hydes pub about ten minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited including a ruby ale. Small outside smoking area to the rear.
Not too busy after the Spurs game at the Etihad!

Only had time to pop in for a quick pint but worth the effort.
For an old git like me, this is a proper pub, warm welcome, friendly punters and a great atmosphere..
Good selection of beers and good prices.
No food because we were getting something along the road.
If you like a traditional feel to a pub this place is a must pop in destination.
