About This Pub

Oh, mate, let me tell you about Gloucester Brewery at Warehouse4 – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a good night out or a relaxed afternoon. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, which really sets the tone for the whole visit. The beers are spot on, with a cracking variety that includes some standout options like that grapefruit pale ale – it's fresh, tasty, and perfect for a summer day. Plus, it's family-friendly, with a beer garden that's great for kids to play in, and they've got this community vibe going on, supporting local causes and being all about sustainability, which is something I reckon we can all appreciate these days. Events are a big plus too, keeping things lively without being overwhelming. On the flip side, it does get busy, especially on weekends, so you might find yourself jostling for space or waiting for a seat, and if you're after a full meal, the food trucks only show up on weekends, which could leave you a bit stuck midweek. Still, for beer lovers or anyone wanting a genuine, down-to-earth spot in Gloucester, it's well worth a visit – just go with an open mind and you'll have a brilliant time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • Fantastic selection of multi-award-winning beers and gins, with highlights like the grapefruit pale ale that's just stunning.
  • The atmosphere is spot on – a lively hub with a great beer garden that's perfect for families, especially with kids enjoying the outdoor space.
  • It's family-friendly and community-focused, with events and a welcoming vibe that makes it feel like a real local gem.
  • They're big on sustainability, using eco-friendly practices, which is brilliant to see and adds to the overall positive experience.
  • Reasonable prices and a great spot in the heart of Gloucester docks, with occasional food trucks on weekends for added treats.
Cons
  • It can get pretty packed, especially in the taproom, so you might have to wait for a table or deal with a bit of a crowd.
  • Food options are limited to those weekend food trucks, so if you're popping in midweek, you might need to plan ahead for eats.
  • Being a brewery first and foremost, it might not suit those who aren't keen on beer or prefer a quieter, more relaxed setting all the time.

Small brewery and gin distillery, loved the photography on display, tried the red october, nice pint. Was going to try ship faced until the barman told me it is 8%, thought better not. 🤪

Such a pleasant place for all generations. The pizza out the front was amazing (food trucks are only there at weekends I believe), the atmosphere was phenomenal and the prices are decent, which is hard to find now days. What was a completely spontaneous trip to Gloucester Quays, turned into hours of sitting in the warehouse, listening to live music, watching people have copious amounts of fun. I can only imagine how amazing the atmosphere must be if a few more people knew about this place!

I'm from Indonesia and really liked this place. Where we can witness the brewing of beer. I really enjoyed drinking the beer right at the brewery. It has a quiet countryside feel and there is also a dock nearby with a view of boats docking. Accompanied by relaxing music and also seeing some seagulls. Would recommend coming here again, if visiting again.
