About This Pub

You know, when you step into Brewhouse & Kitchen at Gloucester Quays, it's got that perfect blend of cosy pub vibes and a bit of excitement with their on-site brewed beers – it's like they've nailed what makes a great night out. I love how the staff are so welcoming and attentive; they'll chat with you about the brews or help pick the right pint to go with your meal, making it feel like catching up with mates. The food's a highlight too – think delicious Sunday roasts or those tempting deals that won't break the bank, and it's all served up with a smile. Plus, being dog-friendly and accessible means it's easy for anyone to enjoy. On the other hand, it does get a tad crowded at peak times, so you might find yourself queuing or speaking up to get noticed, and if you're someone who likes to tweak your order, a few items might not be as flexible as you'd hope. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed afternoon pint or a special get-together, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep an eye on those opening times to avoid any surprises.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome and looked after.
  • They've got a fantastic selection of craft beers brewed right on site, with some cracking deals like Burger and Pint Mondays that are brilliant value.
  • The food is spot on, especially the Sunday roasts and other hearty options – plenty of folks rave about the portions and flavours.
  • It's a welcoming spot for everyone, being wheelchair and dog-friendly, which makes it easy to pop in with friends or family.
  • The location overlooking the canal is lovely, with a nice patio area for enjoying a pint in the fresh air.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy, particularly on weekends, which might mean a wait for service or a table if you haven't booked ahead.
  • Some dishes, like the steak, aren't fully customisable, so you might have to go with it as is, which could disappoint if you're picky.
  • The opening hours vary a bit, closing earlier on some days, so it's not ideal if you're after a late-night spot.

Large U shaped room with wooden floors throughout. Usual tap beers and a few real ales available. Camra discount available. Wheelchair and dog friendly too. Nice clean and tidy place. Staff were friendly and polite. Overlooking the canal with a patio area at the front. Beer was good. Enjoyed my visit.

Really good experience. Staff couldn't do enough to help, and we went just to get a roast on a Sunday and so wasn't expecting too much, but the food was great, great value for what you got. My child ate for free as she was under 6, which was also plenty enough of a portion. Think it will be our default place to take out of town family when we just need somewhere decent and can sit and watch the water.

staff very friendly and welcoming. it was a busy saturday lunchtime but easy to get served at the table or at the bar. went for the steak frites lunch deal which was flavourful and a good price. i wanted it medium but the waiter explained it was as it comes… but steak still had a nice pink hue 😝🥩 would happily come again for lunch with family and friends.

The staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout. As you would expect there was a wide selection of beers and lagers. The menu has a good selection of meals and desserts without being overwhelming, with a nice touch of beer recommendations for certain meals. We all opted for meals from the Sunday Roast menu. The meal portions were very big and the food was excellent - nice to have vegetables served that were not overcooked! The location is really good with a quayside view and the option to dine outside. Overall, really highly recommend - especially on a sunny Sunday lunchtime.
