About This Pub
Ah, the Ginger Goose – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper Bradford staple, you know? I've heard from loads of folks that it's got this warm, inviting atmosphere where you can just relax with a cold pint and maybe join in on the karaoke or bingo nights; it's got that community spirit that's hard to beat. The staff are brilliant, always up for a laugh and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really adds to the fun. And let's not forget, the drinks are spot on, especially if you're after a reliable beer that doesn't disappoint. On the flip side, though, some mates have mentioned that prices can creep up a bit higher than you'd expect for the area, and the old, tatty decor might not wow you if you're looking for something more polished – it's got charm, sure, but it shows its age. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual get-together or a quick stop-off in the city centre, but it might not be the place to go if you're after something a bit more exciting or pristine. I'd say give it a try; it's got that honest, down-to-earth feel that makes for a good night out, warts and all.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are always friendly and up for a chat, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
They've got a solid selection of drinks, especially the beer, which is consistently good and well-kept.
-
It's got a lively atmosphere with weekly live entertainment like karaoke on Fridays and bingo on Tuesdays and Thursdays – perfect for a fun night out.
-
Prices are pretty reasonable for a city centre spot, so you won't break the bank just for a pint or two.
-
Being in the heart of Bradford, it's conveniently located and easy to pop into, whether you're passing through or planning a proper evening.
Cons
-
Some folks find the drinks a bit on the pricey side compared to other pubs in the area, which can put a dampener on things.
-
The decor is quite worn out and dated, with stained seats and all – it's got character, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea.
-
It doesn't always feel all that special; a few people have said it's just okay, especially if you're used to more vibrant pub scenes elsewhere.
-
The entertainment has shifted to more karaoke these days, which isn't for everyone, and it might lack the variety it once had with live bands.

Been drinking here for a lot of years. Nothing much changes. The beer is always on point. One of the few pubs around that still has an actual cellar man.
Staff have come and gone over the years but they are always friendly and you can have a laugh and a chat with them.
Friendly and lively place. Was passing by and popped in for a beer before my train :) Good choice of drinks and friendly service :)
Nothing special just an ok pub. There are very few pubs in Bradford city centre. Compared to Liverpool city centre Bradford is lacking sadly. I noticed several closed down . Disappointed. Didn't eat. Had one pint then left.
This is a great little pub in the city centre with great staff, the drinks are expensive compared to some other establishments in the city but overall it's not too unfairly priced. The decor is old and almost every seat is stained, damaged or torn but it's just the character of the place.
Great spot for people watching if that's something you like to do there are an abundance of interesting people inside and out of this place
It’s cheap it’s very cheerful they used to have live bands or acts on a Friday or Saturday night but karaoke is just a big no we know there’s no great singers in Bradford . The bar staff were friendly and very helpful has we spent a good hour or so in there plenty of room and very open space I used to spend a lot of time in ere or just call in I’m not sure if they do food but yes horse racing is on all day plenty of large screen for sports I’m not sure what kinda bar you would class this has it’s like a diverse bar but clearly the dress code on the door is not stopping folk walking in with joggers on I suppose it’s better than wearing nothing .
