About This Pub
Oh, what a gem Garth Park Kitchen is! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just leaves you with a big smile after visiting. The food is spot on – think incredible Sunday roasts where the potatoes are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, or a hearty breakfast that's full of flavour and won't set you back too much. It's all locally rooted and seasonally inspired, which adds that extra touch of authenticity. The team there are an absolute delight, always chatting away and making sure everyone's happy, whether you're after a cocktail recommendation or help with dietary tweaks like vegan dishes. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, ideal for catching up with friends or even bringing along the dog for a bite. On the flip side, their website could do with a bit more meat on the bones to give you a better heads-up before you go, and with it being closed one day a week, you might have to plan around that. Still, it's a top choice if you're in Bicester and fancy a meal that's both comforting and a cut above the rest – I'd definitely pop in if you haven't already!
Pros and Cons

-
They're dog-friendly and cater well to different dietary needs, which is a real plus for groups with varied preferences.
Cons
-
The website is a bit basic and doesn't have much detail, so it might not give you all the info you need before visiting.
-
With only six days open a week, it could be tricky if you're planning a spontaneous trip on their closed day.
-
As it's quite popular, you might find it gets busy at peak times, so booking ahead could be necessary to avoid waiting around.

Tried the Sunday roast here for the first time in my life and I was seriously impressed! The whole plate was delicious, but the potatoes were next level – perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, absolute game-changers. Cocktails were amazing too – nothing to add or take away, just perfectly mixed. Lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back! 🤍
A Hidden Gem in Bicester!
This place is an absolute treasure. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of joy, and the staff couldn’t be more welcoming—friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a great recommendation and a warm smile.
The food? On another level entirely. If you're after a comforting, seasonal dining experience, look no further. The quality, creativity, and care poured into every dish are truly remarkable. You can feel the passion in every bite.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality of ingredients. They have gorgeous drinks menu too to pair your meals.
Honestly, you'd have to search hard to find anything that comes close—even in London. Huge compliments to the team. I can't wait to come back!
Excellent food and super friendly service. We both had a delicious cooked breakfast which tasted amazing. Dog friendly too!
A Hidden Gem for Sunday Lunch!
We recently discovered that this spot now serves Sunday lunch, and wow—what a treat! The food was absolutely delicious, with a comforting, homely touch that reminded us of a meal at grandma’s, but elevated with incredible flavor.
We tried the 6-hour porchetta with all the trimmings, including the standout cauliflower rarebit. The roast potatoes were perfectly crispy and absolutely divine! Every bite was packed with flavor and care, making it one of the most satisfying Sunday lunches we’ve had in a long time.
If you haven’t visited yet, you’re seriously missing out. This isn’t just a café—it’s an experience! Delicious food at a reasonable price. Highly recommend checking it out!
Delightful breakfast. Super tasty and reasonably priced. The Chai Latte was amazing! They kindly made the mushrooms on toast vegan for me.
ADDITION 02/11/2024:
Our group of 11 went to the first pop-up evening restaurant last night.
We had a mix of teenagers, vegans, vegetarians, meat, and fish lovers, so you can imagine how difficult it could be to please everyone, yet the Garth Park Kitchen (Savoir Fare) team pulled it off. Everyone in our party complimented each of their dishes (even the teens!).
The portion sizes were perfect and to top it off, the wines were excellent! (Think the original The Muddy Duck)
I highly recommend attending one of the pop-ups, I know we will all return.
