About This Pub

Ah, Farriers Arms – it's one of those gems in Worcester that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are raving about the authentic pub atmosphere; it's got that old-world charm that's hard to find these days, with a beer garden that's just the ticket on a sunny day. The food really steals the show – think mouthwatering Sunday roasts with beef that's cooked to perfection and sides that bring back childhood memories, or lunches that are piping hot and full of flavour, like the fish and chips or steak pie that's faultless. And the staff? They're an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly. On the flip side, it can feel a bit tucked away, so you might miss it if you're not keeping an eye out, and without a website, it's tricky to get the lowdown beforehand. Plus, if you're in the mood for something a bit more contemporary, this one's all about that classic pub experience, which might not suit everyone. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint and a bite; I'd say give it a go if you're after that genuine, homely feel without any fuss.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is spot on – it's a proper traditional pub with that warm, welcoming local vibe that's becoming rare in Worcester these days.
  • The food is absolutely brilliant; think cracking Sunday roasts with perfectly cooked beef and veg, or hearty lunches like fish and chips that hit the spot every time.
  • Staff are always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • They've got a great selection of real ales and beers at fair prices, plus a lovely beer garden that's ideal for soaking up the sunshine.
  • It's a fantastic spot for a relaxed afternoon or evening, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or a full meal with the family.
Cons
  • It might feel a tad out of the way at the top of the high street, so it's not the easiest to stumble upon if you're not familiar with the area.
  • There's no website or online presence to speak of, which means you might have to just turn up and hope for the best, rather than checking menus or bookings in advance.
  • As a classic old-school pub, it sticks to traditional offerings, so if you're after something more modern or fancy, it might not quite hit the mark.

Proper town centre pub (one of the very few left on Worcester) with a real 'local pub' atmosphere. Utterly cracking Sunday roast lunch; beef cooked perfectly, roast veg & potatoes just as you remember them.

Nice being out the way at top of the high street. Oldie worldy King of pub. Good beer and prices. Nice food Game of pool. Worth an afternoon evening drinking away for a couple of hours staff and people in there. Always friendly too

Excellent, good old style pub. Popped in for lunch after a day out shopping. The service was great along with the food, we ordered fish & chips, steak pie & children's chicken nuggets. The food was faultless, the kids nuggets were fresh chunks of chicken battered not the frozen rubbish, the fish was crispy & large as for the steak pie... amazing. 100% I would return. Highly recommended
