About This Pub

I've got to say, chatting about Eureka's Roti feels like recommending a mate's favourite local haunt – it's got that cosy, unpretentious charm that makes you want to pop in for a bite. The food steals the show here; from the homemade Sunday roasts that are an absolute dream to the flavour-packed tacos and quesadillas, everything's made with real care and comes out tasting fresh and delicious. Portion sizes are spot on too – you'll feel like you've had a proper treat without it feeling overly pricey. The chef's friendly approach really shines through, making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. On the flip side, it's not perfect; the place only opens four days a week, so you'll need to check the times to avoid disappointment, and since it's all prepared fresh, you might end up waiting a bit longer than at a faster-paced pub. Plus, with not much online info, it's a bit of a leap of faith to visit, and things have been quiet on the review front lately, which might mean it's not buzzing every night. Overall, if you're after a solid meal in a relaxed setting rather than a lively night out, it's well worth a try – just go with an open mind and a bit of patience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot-on – fresh, homemade, and packed with flavour, like those dreamy Sunday roasts that everyone raves about.
  • Portion sizes are incredibly generous, so you'll leave feeling well satisfied without breaking the bank.
  • The chef clearly puts their heart into it; friendly service and dishes like the melting pork belly or blackened chicken quesadilla are real highlights.
  • It's a welcoming spot for a relaxed meal, especially if you're exploring the menu and discovering new favourites.
Cons
  • It only opens a few days a week, which means you might have to plan your visit around their schedule and miss out if you're spontaneous.
  • Food is made fresh to order, so there can be a bit of a wait, which isn't ideal if you're after something quick.
  • With no website or much online presence, it's tricky to check details or get updates before heading over.
  • Recent buzz seems to have quieted down, as there haven't been many new reviews lately, so it might not be as lively as some other spots.

Genuinely excellent food and drink; first time I've had pork belly that really melted in my mouth, and the chicken tacos were simultaneously light, filling and delicious. The chef is friendly and clearly cares a great deal about the food she's making; if it takes a little longer to arrive than some other places, it's because of the quality and care going into it. Cannot recommend enough.

Eaten at Eureka's while visiting The Kent a few times now, and I've never had anything but an excellent experience. You might have a wait ahead of you as it's all made fresh to order, but you'll forget all about that when you taste it. If you want fast food, McDonald's is right up the road — this is food with pride and care put into it, and good heavens, you can taste it. Try the Korean-style pork belly and salt & pepper chilli squid.

Currently working my way through the menu, and I must say my favourite dish so far has to be the Blackened Chicken Quesadilla, full of flavour and cooked to perfection, the Tacos however are a close second.. I’m never one to struggle to order from a food menu, but Eurekas Roti is the only one I do because everything is just so good and I want it all! Marcell, you’re amazing at what you do, thank you as always xx
