About This Pub
Ah, the Duke of Wellington – it's one of those places that just warms you up as soon as you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are really chuffed with the staff; they're all about that genuine hospitality, chatting away and making sure everyone's sorted, which is just what you want after a busy day. The food's another winner – think hearty mixed grills and flavoursome Indian dishes that hit the spot without breaking the bank, perfect if you're in the mood for something comforting. It's got a solid 4.3 rating overall, which speaks volumes for the good times had by many. On the flip side, don't be put off by the exterior; it might not grab your attention straight away, and there could be the occasional hiccup, like if they've switched things up behind the scenes, which might mean not every visit is identical. All in all, it's a reliable spot for us pub goers looking for a bit of cheer and a decent meal, though I'd say it's worth checking it out for yourself to see if it ticks all your boxes.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – they're so friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
The food is a real highlight; dishes like the mixed grill and butter chicken are spot on, with plenty of praise for their delicious flavours and generous portions.
-
Prices are spot on for what you get – it's affordable without skimping on quality, which makes it a great spot for a casual meal or a cheeky drink.
-
It's a proper cosy place for a quick pint or a relaxed bite, and the overall vibe is just lovely, especially if you're popping in after a long day.
Cons
-
The outside might not look as appealing as the inside, so it could be easy to walk past without giving it a go.
-
There might be the odd inconsistency, like potential changes in management that could affect things like menu items, based on what some have mentioned.

I have never eaten here so I can’t relate to that but I’m sure it’s amazing! The staff are friendly and welcoming! We were visiting Myrtle Avenue and wanted a quick drink, will definitely return! That’s what you call hospitality!
After traveling for weeks in Europe, I was craving Indian food during my overnight layover in Heathrow. I found this place and it exceeded my expectations. The food was piping hot and delicious. The cost is very affordable too. Don’t let the pub looks fool you and visit this place next time you’re by LHR!
Such a lovely place. Food was best i ever had in town. Excellent and friendly service.
Highly recommend the large mixed grill here. Simply delicious. Staff were very friendly
Food was great. Best mixed grill and the butter chicken was excellent.

I am not sure if the management has changed. The butter chicken shared the same type of tandoori chicken pieces from the mixed grill. Everything was okay, the last time we were here the team agreed that it isn't the same. The 5 star is for the old visit.
The take away Chicken wraps, chips and salad wasn't as delicious as it was before. My friend said please next time don't bring me any thing from the Duke. I am like wow, what happened to the other Chef? My take is on the Butter chicken and the chicken tandoori rolls?
