About This Pub
You know, when I think about the Dew Drop, it really warms my heart – it's one of those classic village pubs that's become a proper community gem since it reopened. The events lineup is spot on, with live music every Sunday, quiz nights, board games, and even comedy evenings; it's perfect for a relaxed get-together or a lively night out with mates. The drink selection is brilliant too, offering everything from real ales to world lagers, and being dog-friendly just adds to that welcoming feel. Folks rave about the atmosphere and the friendly faces behind the bar, which is why it's sitting pretty with those top ratings. On the other hand, it's quite compact, so if you're after a spacious venue, you might find it a touch cramped during peak times, and a few have mentioned the prices on drinks could be a bit steep for what you get. Food-wise, it's mostly street vendors for now, but with the deli launch on the horizon, that should sort things out nicely. All in all, it's a lovely spot for a pint and a laugh, especially if you appreciate that homely, community spirit – just keep in mind it might not suit everyone for a big group outing.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, with a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home, especially with live music and events like Sunday sessions.
-
It's super dog-friendly, which is a real bonus if you're popping in with your four-legged mate for a pint and a chat.
-
They've got a cracking selection of real ales, fine wines, world lagers, and spirits, plus plenty of events like quizzes, board game nights, and comedy clubs to keep things lively.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and give a proper warm welcome, making it feel like a true community hub that's been lovingly refurbished.
-
High ratings from fellow visitors show it's a hit, with live music and food options adding to the fun – and they're even launching a deli soon for more tasty treats.
Cons
-
It's a bit on the small side, so it can feel cosy to the point of getting crowded, especially during events or on busy nights.
-
Some drinks might come across as a tad pricey, depending on what you fancy, which could put a dent in the wallet if you're in for a long session.
-
Food options are limited at the moment, mostly relying on street food vendors rather than a full menu, though that's set to improve with the new deli.

Fantastic atmosphere dog friendly loved every minute of the live music food available
A fabulous little gem of a place.
Visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon with a couple of friends.
It's a very friendly place with a nice atmosphere.
A decent live band performed for a couple of hours, which was an added bonus.
We didn't have food, but it looked lovely and will definitely order once the kitchen hours are extended in a few weeks time.

Very tiny Pub! Seems better as been done up a bit ! Beer seemed a tad expensive but may depend on what you have! They do have entertainment on now in a small yard at the rear (The Garden) which has seating! Does seem much improved but no food at present only food trucks on different days at the weekends - overall an improvement!
Friendly atmosphere very warm welcome, good choice of ale..See photo.
Happy days :)
