The staff really shine through in the reviews, always quick to lend a hand whether it's sorting out drinks or helping with party bits. And let's not forget that seafront spot – imagine sipping a cold one with views of the coast, maybe even catching sight of dolphins, as mentioned in one lovely review. It's affordable too, with a nice range of drinks and activities like sports in the bar or bingo on Sundays. On the flip side, though, it's not flawless; a couple of folks noted that while their events were fun, things like the room setup could use a bit more polish to make everything seamless. All in all, it's a solid choice for a night out or gathering, as long as you keep expectations realistic – we'd definitely recommend giving it a go for the good times it delivers.

Was here for a private wedding party upstairs and it was great! Nice view of the seafront in the smaller of the upstairs rooms, and we even saw dolphins from the window!
Been a few times now to see a band.. Really good atmosphere, great music and very friendly staff.. Sports bar is great if you fancy a bit of football or a game of pool.. Would recommend
Excellent venue, live music including Jazz afternoons on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday. Also live sports shown. The beer is excellent and you do not need to be a member to get in.
We hosted a birthday party last night it was a fantastic night. The young man behind the bar was fabulous and the guy who did the catering was exceptionally good. A really top class buffet beautifully presented and enjoyed by everyone. The band After Hours were great too. Thanks to everyone.

We had a birthday party here from 7 til 11.
The bar staff were fabulous, they were very quick with orders and helping us if we asked for bin bags to help clean up mid party, a knife to cut the cake as well as a lighter.
The party was brilliant with our DJ and Caterer.
The room we hired was a good size for 70 people (which was the room at the front).
However the issues started when the room got abit too hot. We asked to open some windows to let some air in, we were met with some resistance before only one window was opened, only one with a room of 70 people.
At the end of the night, we helped tidy the whole room, balloons popped, paper plates binned and chairs repositioned without being asked. We tipped the bar staff as they were very helpful and we offered the leftover food such as sandwiches, curry and chilly to the staff which we were thanked for.
But as we were packing up, the "manager" complained about wanting to go home. Then started binning the food that was left for the bar staff.
We felt it tainted the end of the night, especially after we had helped clean the room and assist and tip the bar staff.
Because of this, I'd probably book elsewhere when it comes to a party but we will try again in future and hope the attitude of the female "manager" will be different and more warm when approaching customers. If you decide to work in hospitality, have a better approach working with people who are helping you make your job easier and don't say to customers that you "want to go home" when your job is in hospitality.
