About This Pub
Ah, the Cow & Creek in Oxford – it's one of those spots that just feels like a proper British pub with a bit of flair. I love how the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, and the menu's full of crowd-pleasers like delicious burgers and grills that leave you satisfied. With reasonable prices and cracking deals on drinks, it's ideal for a casual lunch or an evening catch-up with friends. They've got live entertainment and events that add to the fun, making it a great place for families or groups looking to make memories. On the downside, though, a couple of folks mentioned that some dishes, like the chicken kebab, weren't quite up to scratch with messy presentation, and there might be some uncertainty about that outdoor area for soaking up the sun. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after good value and a warm atmosphere, but keep expectations realistic for the odd off-day – still, I'd recommend popping in for a pint and seeing for yourself.
Pros and Cons
Pros

-
The food is a real treat, with flippin' fantastic burgers, juicy grills, pies, and other classics that hit the spot every time.
-
Prices are spot on – reasonable for what you get, so you can enjoy a proper meal without worrying about the wallet.
-
A cracking selection of drinks, from draught lagers and craft beers to ciders and cocktails, with some great deals to boot.
-
It's got a fun, inviting atmosphere with live entertainment, events, and even family-friendly options for a good time out.
Cons
-
Some dishes could do with a bit more polish, like the chicken kebab that had juices dripping everywhere, making it a messy affair.
-
There's a bit of confusion about outdoor seating; the website mentions it, but one person said they couldn't find any, which might disappoint on a sunny day.
-
While most meals are tasty, a few reviews suggest the food quality isn't always consistent, so you might have a hit-or-miss experience.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt that the prices were reasonable. We ordered a pie and some fish and fries. Both were delicious. Lots of seating. A good selection of beer 🍺 and ciders. There’s no outdoor seating as far as I know.
Great pun to the outskirts of city centre, lots of spaces with a presentable welcoming image. Plenty of choices on the menu with a quick turnaround for lunch time. One thing to mention is the food quality which can be improved, had the chicken kebab which had the salad dripping juices on the pitta bread.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a pint. Good food and staff. Really enjoyed the red curry vegetables with shrimp.
Wonderful little pub/restaurant, really delicious and reasonably priced for what you get.
The starters we had was the popcorn chicken and the soup of the day, for the main we had gammon steak and the cowboy burger all full of favour and delicious.
The drink selection was varied doing good deals on cocktails and beer on tap.
This is right at the entrance of Westgate so is ideal if you need a break while your shopping, my one downfall would be I ordered 4 drinks but I only got 3 possibly because the server didn't hear me very well or had forgotten.
Great food and service. We came as a family of 5. Everyone left with a full happy stomach. Definitely a restaurant you will enjoy.
