About This Pub
You know, when I think about The Royal Blenheim, it just brings a smile to my face – it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of what makes a great British boozer. The beers are the star of the show; they've got this brilliant selection of real ales, including those tasty Titanic ones, and it's been recognised in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, which says it all really. The atmosphere is spot on too, with its classic 19th-century vibes and comfy seating that makes you want to settle in for the evening. Plus, it's super inclusive with wheelchair access and being dog-friendly, so it's easy to pop in with the whole gang. On the downside, if you're hoping for a proper sit-down meal, the options seem a bit limited, and it can get packed on busier nights, which might not suit everyone. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone after a quality pint and a chat, but maybe plan ahead if you're after something quieter.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beer selection is absolutely spot on, with a fantastic range of real ales including permanent Titanic brews and rotating guests – it's no wonder it's won CAMRA awards!
-
The staff are charming and welcoming, always ready for a friendly chat, which really makes you feel at home.
-
It's got that classic 19th-century cosy atmosphere with lovely English decor, making it a proper inviting spot for a relaxing pint.
-
Plenty of thoughtful touches like being wheelchair accessible, dog-friendly, and having free WiFi, plus baby changing facilities for families.
-
You can catch live sport on the telly or join in on quiz nights, adding a bit of fun to the mix.
Cons
-
It might not have a wide range of food options, as some folks just pop in for a drink, so if you're after a full meal, you could be disappointed.
-
Being in a central spot in Oxford, it can get quite busy, especially on weekends, which might make it a tad overwhelming at times.
-
The operating hours seem a bit inconsistent from what I've seen, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.

First time I've visited this excellent pub. Not sure why it hasn't appeared on my radar before, as I've been coming to Oxford for 20 years plus! Lovely pint of Loose Cannon beautifully kept and served by a charming barman. Keep up the good work.
From a non pubby person’s point of view, it was a very nice pub.
The chap behind the bar was great, loved it. The Titanic beer was just lovely.
The lad at the Teardrop told Jorvic that this is the best range of real ales in Oxford. Paulicarus took a Prometheus black IPA at 5.1%. ABC / Alphabet brewery. Jorvic a Titanic raspberry pale. Both excellent. Forgot to ask for my CAMRA discount. A CAMRA 2024 Good Beer Guide entry. Great pub to the side of the large and ugly shopping centre. A Titanic pub with lots of guest ales. One room bar.
Just wanted to have a proper cask ale in the rainy evening at proper British pub. I ordered plum porter ale which was pretty light taste IMO. The atmosphere is really cozy and the staff are friendly. Here's their latest menu.

I didn’t have food here but did pop in for a quick pint during my Oxford walkabout. This has all the classic charm and appeal that you look for in a pub. Lovely English decor with great seating. A tv to watch football or racing or whatever May be on. Great pints of beer and ale to choose from along with the calm atmosphere to relax and char or read or whatever suits you. Enjoyed this place for a respite in my day and left energized and ready to crack on!
