About This Pub

Ah, Coal Clough Pub – it's one of those unassuming spots in Burnley that just hits the spot for a good old pint and a chat. From the reviews, it's clear folks love the warm, welcoming feel; the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable, and there's often karaoke or live acts to liven things up, which is brilliant if you're in the mood for a singalong or some entertainment. It's affordably priced too, so you can enjoy a few rounds without breaking the bank, and being open late seven days a week means it's flexible for whatever your plans are. On the flip side, it does feel quite community-oriented, so if you're after something more upscale or with heaps of options, it might not quite fit the bill – and without a website, it's a bit of a surprise what you'll find on the night. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a genuine, down-to-earth pub experience in the area; I'd say give it a go if you're nearby, as the positives really shine through in the feedback.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • There's a lively atmosphere with karaoke and live artists most nights, which adds a fun, entertaining vibe to your evening.
  • It's a great spot for entertainers, as they get well looked after, and that spills over into a positive experience for everyone.
  • Being inexpensive, it's perfect for a casual night out without worrying about the bill piling up.
  • It's open seven days a week until late, so you can pop in whenever the mood strikes, whether it's for a quick pint or a longer session.
Cons
  • From what I've seen, it's more of a local favourite, so if you're just visiting, it might not have that extra polish or variety you'd find in bigger venues.
  • There's no website listed, which makes it a bit tricky to check out menus or events in advance – you'd have to just turn up or rely on word of mouth.
  • One review mentioned an upcoming event that sounded a tad quirky, which might not appeal to everyone, so it's worth going in with an open mind.

As a returning patron of Coal Clough Pub and have always appreciated the warm atmosphere and excellent service provided by your establishment. I wanted to take a moment to share a suggestion that I believe could benefit both the pub and its patrons. In recent times, there has been a growing demand for alcohol-free beverage options among consumers. With people increasingly mindful of their health and well-being, offering a selection of alcohol-free drinks could be a great way to cater to a broader range of preferences and encourage responsible consumption. I've noticed that while Coal Clough Pub boasts an impressive selection of beverages, there is currently a limited offering of alcohol-free options. Introducing some high-quality, reasonably priced alcohol-free alternatives could attract new customers and enhance the overall experience for existing ones. From refreshing mocktails to premium alcohol-free beers and wines, there are numerous possibilities to explore. By diversifying your beverage menu in this way, you could create a more inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their drinking preferences. I understand that implementing changes to the menu requires careful consideration, but I believe that incorporating alcohol-free options aligns with the values of Coal Clough Pub and has the potential to enhance its reputation as a friendly and progressive establishment. Thank you for considering my suggestion. I look forward to continuing to enjoy the welcoming ambiance and exceptional service at Coal Clough Pub.
