About This Pub
Ah, The Corkhouse – it's one of those places that just warms you up from the get-go, isn't it? From the reviews I've had a look at, most folks are raving about the friendly staff who really go the extra mile, making every visit feel special, and the food and drinks are spot on, with a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after a long day. I can picture myself there on a sunny afternoon, tucking into something tasty al fresco, just like Alicea mentioned, feeling like I'm off on holiday without the hassle. Jonny and Claire both highlighted how it's a cut above the rest in Burnley for a good night out, with that lovely decor adding to the charm. But, let's be straight, it's not all roses – Susan's experience with a grumpy barman was a right letdown, and it shows that sometimes things can go south if you're not lucky with who you're dealing with. Robert enjoyed a quiet evening, which is a plus for those wanting a peaceful pint, but overall, with such a solid reputation, I'd say it's worth popping in for a try, as long as you keep your expectations balanced and maybe steer clear if you're after flawless service every time.

It's great for enjoying al fresco dining on sunny days, giving that holiday vibe without leaving Burnley.
Cons
-
There have been a few reports of rude behaviour from some staff, like a barman with a bit of an attitude that can put a damper on things.
-
Watch out for potential hazards around the entrance, such as hooks on the wall that might snag your clothes and lead to unexpected mishaps.

Simply gorgeous. The staff. The food. Eating Al fresco in the beautiful sunshine I feel like I'm on holiday . Thanks xxxx I will come again and recommend to my friends
Very rude barman with attitude! He’s got a cup hook on the wall as you enter the building as my husband was leaving someone else was passing him in the door way needless to say my husband got caught on the hook and put a hole in an expensive jacket the barman’s attitude was well you walked to close to the wall 😖 needless to say we won’t be going in there again.
Top bar. Had great night.
Dave pays attention to good customer service and does not compromise on quality.
Date night midweek.
I like this place.
Food is good.
Ambience is pleasant, and clientele at the older end. It was 6pm on a weeknight.
But I could hear myself think.
Best bar in Burnley by far. The staff are all lovely and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, the food is lush and there's a brilliant selection of drinks. Oh and the decor is gorgeous too! Absolutely no complaints, my favourite place to spend an evening.
