About This Pub

Ah, Chapel House—it's one of those spots that just feels like a proper local gem in Warrington. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's all about that friendly buzz; the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the regulars add to the homely feel, which is just lovely for a casual night out. You can catch the football on the screens, enjoy some cracking music, and if you're up for it, Tuesday's karaoke night sounds like a blast with a mix of singers that keeps everyone entertained. The drinks selection is spot on too, with guest beers that give you a bit of variety without breaking the bank at a moderate price. On the flip side, it's a shame they've dropped the food service, so if you're peckish, you might need to plan ahead or pop to another place nearby. And while it's open most evenings till late, that 'closed' status online is a bit puzzling—it could put a dampener on spontaneous visits. Overall, it's a solid choice for a pint and a chat, especially if you're after a no-fuss, feel-good evening, but keep those expectations realistic for what it offers these days.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's got a brilliant atmosphere with locals who are always up for a chat, perfect for a relaxed evening out.
  • They show the football and play great music, plus there's karaoke on Tuesdays which is a real laugh and keeps things entertaining.
  • A good selection of drinks, including guest beers, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.
  • With a solid 4.4 rating from plenty of happy visitors, it's clear this place knows how to keep things enjoyable and trouble-free.
Cons
  • They've stopped serving food, so if you're after a meal with your pint, you'll have to head elsewhere.
  • The operating status seems a bit unclear—it's listed as closed in some spots, but the hours suggest it's open, which might confuse folks planning a visit.
  • As an unclaimed business, there might not be as much up-to-date info online, making it trickier to check the latest on events or changes.

Since the last posts The Chapel has changed hands. It is still a nice place to enjoy a drink and watch sport with plenty of screens. There isn't any food served anymore. A good selection of drinks including one or two guest beers
