About This Pub

Ah, Café Coco – what a gem tucked away in Rugby! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a casual bite. The breakfasts are brilliant; you can get everything from a classic full English to something more customised, and they don't mind a bit of fussing about with your order, which is always a plus when you're in the mood for something just right. The staff are dead lovely too, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, and the food generally comes out spot on with generous portions that leave you satisfied. It's a clean, cosy spot where you can relax and chat over a coffee, and from what I've seen, most folks rave about it for good reason. But, to keep it real, there was that one review where the spaghetti bolognese was a bit of a letdown – sounded well off, like it could turn your stomach if you're not careful. Still, with so many positive vibes around the other dishes, I'd say it's worth giving it a go, especially for breakfast or a simple lunch. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back meal, as long as you play it safe with the menu picks.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The breakfasts are absolutely spot on – plenty of options like full English or veggie versions, and they're happy to tweak things to your liking, which is a real treat.
  • Friendly and welcoming staff who make you feel right at home, with quick service and a smile that brightens up the day.
  • Tasty food overall, with generous portions on things like burgers and salads; it's clear they put heart into their dishes.
  • A clean and cosy atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed catch-up with mates, buzzing with locals enjoying their meals.
Cons
  • One dish, like the spaghetti bolognese, got a right bashing in a review – it sounded pretty off-putting, so you might want to steer clear if you're after something foolproof.
  • The menu's got a good mix, but it seems some items could be hit or miss, so it's worth sticking to the crowd-pleasers to avoid any disappointments.

This is a lovely little cafe,me and my sis have been here twice now,the food was bang on,very good and they didnt mind that we were a bit fussy with additions and subs on the breakfasts, everything came as ordered and was perfect, which is great because i have been to the cafe roj opposite twice and ordered the same thing and they messed the order up both times. 100% would reccomend

Came here not long ago for a spaghetti bolognese. Wasn’t going to leave a review as the people seemed friendly enough but I’m gobsmacked at what was served to me. Looked like dog food served on a plate it made me feel so sick I struggled to take a bite. Tasted aweful and looked aweful. Requested more paramsan to try mask the taste but the look and smell made me feel so sick I managed a few bites . I chose to pay whilst ordering, Didn’t even bother asking for a refund or a change of meal I just got up and left . Putting this on here as I don’t think it’s acceptable to be serving this kind of food to people . They didn’t even bother to ask what was wrong when I abruptly left after a few minutes of receiving my food.

Lovely place, and I can make my own breakfast. I really like it. I make amazing breakfast with lots of protein, including my favourite smashed avocado. Highly recommended them.
