About This Pub

Oh, mate, if you're a burger enthusiast like me, Libertine Burger in Rugby is definitely worth a visit – it's got that feel of a proper local gem where everything's done with care. The burgers are just sublime; I've heard from loads who've raved about the signature ones with smoky bacon and cheese, or the Korean BBQ tenders that pack a punch. And don't overlook the sides or those inventive shakes – they're a lovely add-on. The team behind the counter are an absolute delight, always chatting and making sure you're sorted, which really lifts the whole experience. On the flip side, it's not the cheapest night out; you might think twice if you're watching the pennies, and the fries aren't always everyone's favourite – some prefer a crispier option elsewhere. Plus, it does get busy, so you could face a wait or the occasional slip-up with orders, but they're quick to fix it. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed meal with mates, especially if you fancy something a bit special, and those DIY kits are genius for trying it at home. I'd say give it a go and see for yourself – it's got that winning combination of great grub and a welcoming buzz.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The burgers are absolutely spot-on – award-winning and packed with flavour, like that signature beef patty with bacon and cheese, or the buttermilk fried chicken options; they're proper treats.
  • The staff are brilliant, always helpful and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • They've got a great variety, including vegan choices and tasty sides like truffle and Parmesan tots, plus fun extras like DIY burger kits for at-home feasts.
  • The atmosphere is lovely, with a welcoming vibe that's perfect for a casual meal or even events with their food truck hire.
  • It's got a solid selection of canned beers and shakes to wash it all down, adding to the overall experience.
Cons
  • The prices are on the higher side, so it might sting the wallet a bit if you're after something more budget-friendly.
  • The fries can be a mixed bag; some folks find them just okay compared to other places, like preferring Five Guys' version.
  • It can get busy, which means you might have to wait a little longer to order or deal with the odd mix-up, though the team sorts it out quickly.
  • Not everyone might appreciate the limited hours, as it's only open five days a week, so planning ahead is key.

The absolute best place for food the burgers are priced on the higher side but absolutely worth it without any shadow of a doubt the staff are absolutely amazing and helpful and make the whole experience even better, but the food is a god send , the BEST burger I’ve ever had.. I make the 30 min journey at least once a month to try the specials which are always good the milkshakes are insanely good. But my favourite is the #022 chicken burger absolutely sensational. We’ve even bought the D.I.Y home burger kit which was a great valentines treat :) all in all my favourite place to go for food every visit is incredible!

The burger was good, the fries were okay (I prefer five guys Cajun fries if I’m honest). It was all cooked nicely, and I liked having the vegan options including bun. The service was really good, they accidentally messed up our order but were quick at resolving it and attentive. I wish they did their own tomato relish instead of ketchup, but that is a minor thing. Also, they had milkshakes but no vegan ones - I wish they had, this would absolutely set them apart from most burger places (I’m yet to find a burger place with a vegan shake).

Absolutely delicious burgers, had #099 with bacon ranch fries and the classic chicken burger. Everything perfectly cooked. Nice selection of canned beers to accompany the food. Staff were great, very efficient and friendly.

Had a really tasty burger! Me and my husband both had the chicken special with buffalo hot sauce and they were really good. It was busy so took a little while to order but that was ok. We had dirty fries with it and they were tasty too. Would return.
