About This Pub

Ah, the Bulls Head Inn – what a lovely spot it is, isn't it? I've got to say, stepping in there feels like sinking into a comfy old armchair; the staff are just so warm and attentive, always ready with a smile and a helping hand, which really makes the place shine. It's got that classic pub essence that's hard to find these days – think hearty chats over a pint, a buzzing atmosphere for watching the match, and even options for sorting out a birthday bash or a quiet meal. The food and drinks get a big thumbs up from what I've heard, with folks loving the straightforward, enjoyable vibe. But, let's be fair, it's not all perfect; the building's got that charming old-school look, but it does mean a few accessibility challenges, like those steps that could trip up anyone with mobility issues – it's a shame, as it might put off a few mates from joining in. Overall, though, I'd say it's a winner for a laid-back evening, as long as you keep those little niggles in mind. If you're after a genuine, feel-good pub experience, this one's worth a visit, but do plan ahead to make the most of it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – they're friendly, accommodating, and go out of their way to make you feel right at home, like chatting with old mates behind the bar.
  • It's got that proper traditional pub charm, a real antidote to those soulless modern spots, with a cosy atmosphere perfect for a pint and a catch-up.
  • They do a cracking job with food, drinks, and events – whether it's watching sports, hosting a party, or just enjoying weekly offers, there's always something on.
  • Folks rave about the welcoming vibe and great service, with plenty of positive feedback making it a solid choice for a relaxed night out.
Cons
  • The building's a bit on the old side, so accessibility can be tricky with things like steps at the entrance, which might not suit everyone with mobility needs.
  • It seems like there might be the odd hiccup with operating hours or status, so it's worth double-checking before you pop in, just to avoid any disappointment.

10/10, I’m disabled so going anywhere is a chore on me and those around me. Connor the bar staff in duty was very accommodating and friendly. Patrons I didn’t know helped me around the mobility issues that come with old buildings and can’t be changed. Such as the step at the entrance (flat top available round back). Would recommend. Downside the food is just snacks but I knew that going in. The downside for me was the restriction on the wines as only Jack rabbit is available.

Possibly the best pub in Cheshire if you're looking for a real classic pub that is still a pub. This is the type of pub people take for granted and once it's gone people will whine about there being no classic real pubs left. Super Friendly bar staff, great separate rooms for gathering with friends and amazing 2001 prices for good beer. This pub is an important part of pub and social history and must not be lost.
