About This Pub
Ah, Bricklayers Arms – it's one of those classic London locals that just warms your cockles with its straightforward charm. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's all about that genuine, old-school pub feel where you can sink a pint, have a laugh over a game of darts or pool, and catch the latest on Sky Sports without any fuss. The beer is spot on, and the outdoor spaces are a real treat when the sun's out, perfect for a cheeky catch-up with friends. The landlord sounds like a proper legend, bending over backwards to make sure folks have a brilliant time, whether it's for a lively karaoke night or something more heartfelt like a gathering with loved ones. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses – that broken heating is a bit of a downer, especially if you're heading there in winter and end up shivering through your round. Overall, though, it's got heaps of potential and a solid 4.2 rating, so if you're in Norwood and fancy a no-nonsense pint, I'd say give it a go, just maybe wrap up warm!

Lovely unpretentious locals pub, with a pool table, dart board and sky sports on the TV. Nice beer garden at the back and benches at the front if you like sitting outside.
I went to a friend's party. Good friendly old fashioned pub . On that night very good karaoke night
Played darts here and had a great time. Landlord was a star, couldn’t do enough for us & cracked us all up. Thank you! Beer spot on & friendly atmosphere. The owners need to invest in this pub because it’s a diamond & it would be a real loss if they let it slip away. Glad we went here, thanks again.
No heating whatsoever because the central heating boiler is totally broken, obsolete and the whole system needs to be replaced. THIS is a pub with massive potential, if it's invested in properly. As it is it's dead in the water and sinking. Classic #GreatBritishPubcoScam
Landlord Phil and the regulars welcomed us for my dad's wake on Thursday. Friends and family took over the pub and raised a glass to Bill in this gloriously hipster-free zone. Those who came with dogs enjoyed the garden and Phil did everything he could to make this a great send off.
You will adore this down-to-earth proper pub. A space to be cherished in an ever-gentrifying South London. Thank you Phil and the regulars. My dad would have loved it!
