About This Pub

Ah, Brewhouse & Kitchen in Nottingham – it's one of those places that really hits the mark for a relaxed pint with mates. I have to say, the craft beers are a standout; they're brewed right there on site, full of flavour and that hyper-local touch that makes you feel like you're getting something special. Pair that with their food offerings, like the unbeatable Sunday roasts or those cheeky deals on burgers and pints, and you've got a solid spot for a bite and a brew. The staff are genuinely brilliant too, always up for a chat and quick to sort you out, as a few folks have raved about their service. On the brighter side, the atmosphere is just right with those nice views and a buzz from all the events they host, whether it's a masterclass or a happy hour special. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – you might find the music cranked up a notch too high at times, which can make conversations a bit of a struggle, and occasionally the wait for food drags on, leaving you twiddling your thumbs. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 4.2, it's clear most people leave with a smile, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after a proper pub experience, just maybe plan around the busier times to avoid any hitches.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The craft beers are absolutely spot on – freshly brewed on site, hyper local, and award-winning, making it a real treat for beer enthusiasts.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and great recommendations, like that fruity cider or the perfect pint.
  • They've got some brilliant food deals, such as the Burger and Pint for under £13 on Mondays, and their Sunday roasts are said to be the best in Nottingham.
  • The atmosphere is lovely, with great views and a cosy vibe that's perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a masterclass on brewing.
  • There's always something going on, like weekly events and tastings, which add a fun twist and keep things exciting for regulars.
Cons
  • The music can sometimes be a bit too loud, making it tricky to have a proper chat, as one group mentioned on a busy day.
  • Wait times for food might drag on a little longer than you'd hope, which could put a dampener on things if you're in a rush.
  • For events like rum tastings, the snacks provided might not be quite enough or as thoughtfully paired, leaving you wanting a bit more.

We had Father’s Day lunch yesterday. Initially the music was too loud to even have a conversation but after some discussion, the manager eventually turned it down. We did have to wait quite some time for our food however the service we received from Amy and Jack was exceptional. Brewhouse and Kitchen have clearly some very good staff.

Went to brewhouse and Kitchen in Nottingham today and used a voucher where you and one other person can get a burger each and 6 ales to taste between you and it was amazing and so worth it! We were served by Tom and Jack and they were both so friendly plus service was great from both of them! definitely recommend and had a great afternoon, Thank you😁

I recently visited for the rum tasting. You get 6 rums to try, snacks and a cocktail. You can add a meal for an extra £10. The snacks were 2 packets of crisps between 3 people, which didn't feel enough and I felt there could have been a bit more thought around what would pair with rum or the carribean theme. Our rum guide, Jake, was welcoming and friendly. We were left quite often to watch youtube videos complete with adverts around rum distilling. I would have preferred Jake to talk us through the steps. We were given a varied mix of rums to try. We were given a dark and stormy cocktail at the end, but it might have been nicer to have a rum cocktail of our choice. I went for the meal at the end, which was very tasty.

Had a brilliant afternoon on the beer tasting experience, brought for us as a gift. We found the whole thing informative and fun. Eight different types of beer like wheat beer, pilsner ipa etc. A sniff of the malts and hops too, finished off with some tasty food. My old go to of Mac Cheese in my case. Highly recommended
