About This Pub
Ah, BrewDog Newcastle – it's one of those places that really stands out when you're out for a pint with mates. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the craft beer scene here is spot on; they've got an incredible range that caters to all tastes, with staff who are genuinely passionate and eager to share their knowledge, making you feel right at home. The food's another highlight – those pizzas are massive and full of flavour, and the new additions like melts and subs are perfect for a casual lunch. It's all set in this cool location with great views and events that keep things lively, so it's ideal if you're up for a bit of an adventure. On the flip side, though, it can get a tad expensive for everyday visits, and if the crowds roll in, it might not be the most relaxed spot for a quiet catch-up. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a modern twist on the pub experience – I'd say give it a go if you're in Newcastle, but keep in mind it shines brightest for those who fancy something a bit different from the usual.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The craft beer selection is absolutely brilliant, with a huge variety of IPAs, stouts, and more from top breweries around the world, plus fresh releases every month that keep things exciting.
-
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, always happy to chat about the beers or suggest pairings, making every visit feel welcoming and personal.
-
The food menu is a real winner, especially the sourdough pizzas and new melts and subs – they're tasty, generous portions, and pair perfectly with the drinks.
-
It's in a prime spot between Grainger Town and the Quayside, with a stylish glass frontage and a mezzanine for extra seating, plus regular live events that add to the lively atmosphere.
-
They offer great deals and experiences like Beer School and bottomless brunch, which are fantastic for a fun night out or trying something new.
Cons
-
Prices are on the moderate side, so it might feel a bit pricey if you're just popping in for a quick pint rather than a full session.
-
The place can get quite busy, especially in the evenings or during events, which might make it hard to find a seat or enjoy a quiet chat.
-
If you're not into craft beer or prefer traditional pub grub, it might not hit the spot compared to a classic local boozer.

I attended the Beer School yesterday and had a thoroughly entertaining 2 hours. Plenty of beers to try, and expertise to talk you through it. Rowan was obviously fascinated by the whole brewing process
and a massive asset to the company. This all added up to a very enjoyable experience. Spot on 👍
Brewdog is always my favourite place for a good craft IPA. Staff are always really friendly and have good knowledge on the drinks. They do amazing deals such as the cocktail tasting session, after 4pm discount on Sundays and much more.
My first time at BrewDog. Had a Wowcher deal so was Pizza and flight taster menu. Barman was extremely knowledgeable about the beers and very helpful and friendly. Pizzas were very, very tasty. Would definitely recommend a visit.
I don't visit there often enough. I should do as Brewdog is my favourite brand of ale.
Good selection Brew Dog ales as well as other drinks (Spirits etc)
Decent Food menu aswell
Visited BrewDog for bottomless brunch. The drink choice you can have is excellent and the staff are happy to provide a taster of any of the selection before deciding.
You are able to choose an item of the menu from the pizza or hot dog list....and the pizzas are huge! Couldn't finish them.
Never has to wait for a top up and as the time came to an end they doubled up on drinks.
