About This Pub
Ah, Boston Pool Loft – it's one of those places in Liverpool that just hits the spot if you're after a mix of classic pub fun and a bit of competition with your mates. I love how they've packed in so many options for games; whether you're into a quick game of pool, snooker, or even table tennis, there's something to keep everyone entertained without it feeling overwhelming. The drinks are reasonably priced too, with those early evening deals making it easy to enjoy a few without worrying about the wallet, and the staff are always chipping in with a smile and some helpful tips. It's got that relaxed pub vibe that makes you want to linger, perfect for a casual catch-up or a lively group outing. On the flip side, it does tend to fill up quickly, especially on busier nights, so planning ahead is a must if you don't fancy queuing. And while most reviews rave about the setup, a couple of people have mentioned the tables aren't always perfectly maintained, which could put a slight dampener on things if you're a stickler for precision. All in all, it's a solid choice for a memorable evening out – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the good bits far outweigh the minor niggles.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
Fantastic selection of pool tables and games – they've got everything from UK and US pool to snooker and even table tennis, making it a proper playground for a fun night.
-
Affordable drinks and deals, like pints for just £3.50 before 6pm on weekdays, which is a real treat for popping in after work.
-
Friendly staff who make you feel right at home, always up for a chat and helping out with the games.
-
Great packages for groups, including drinks and table hires, perfect for stag dos or casual get-togethers without breaking the bank.
-
A relaxed and lively atmosphere that's ideal for unwinding with mates, blending pub vibes with plenty of entertainment.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially in the evenings, so you might have to wait for a table or book ahead to avoid disappointment.
-
Some of the tables could do with a bit more maintenance, as a few folks have noted they're not always in tip-top shape, which might affect your game.

Great pool loft, loads of tables of all shapes and sizes (UK, US, Snooker, etc)!
The drinks were fairly priced and the staff were friendly. It’s great that you can stay on after your time for a per minute rate that isn’t inflated.
Would come back next time I’m in the city! 🎱
Came as a large stag group, and the best man had pre-booked the foot pool area with the benefits package. This included a bucket of Budweiser, a bottle of Jose Cuervo silver tequila, and some Captain Morgan's spiced rum, in total the hire and drinks package cost around £30 each which wasn't too bad at all!
It was very busy in the main area with lots of pool tables, being taken up so I was glad to have our own space!
The only complaint was the pool table that was in the private room was quite wonky, so playing a proper game was not easy!
Honestly the best bar/pub thing in Liverpool. They have 8 pool/billiard tables, 2 table tennis tables and a lot of random games. Had so much fun over a week here in my evenings. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
Who doesn't love a game of pool or snooker with some cheap drinks. A games bar that feels more relaxed than Roxy ballroom.
£3.50 for any pint before 6pm Mon-Thurs is beaut, allows you to have a few after work.
American & English pool, shuffleboard, football pool, table tennis, arcade machines that's aren't terribly priced.
What a great find! My friend and I were concerned that at 8:00pm place would be rammed. It was. But as we walked up to ask for a table one became free. Tables were nice and easy to set up and we had some good fun. It’s only £10 for an hour, no membership needed. Tables could probably do with some maintenance as mental bit you see the hand resting on in the pic kept popping up. Other wise it was great! Nice atmosphere, music was not so loud you could y talk and it’s really well broken up to pool area and bar area.
It’s a little hidden so don’t give up if you don’t find entrance immediately.
