North Pier, Blackpool FY1 1NE

About This Pub

Oh, Bloom Bar, it's such a charming little find on Blackpool's North Pier – I reckon you'd love it for a casual get-together with mates. The way they've spruced up the place with plush carpets and fresh furniture makes it feel like a proper luxurious lounge, and those sea views are just magical, especially when you're sipping a drink outside in the beer garden. The staff are absolute gems, always polite and on top of things, and there's heaps of entertainment like DJs and singers that really get the energy going on busy days. It's moderately priced too, so you won't break the bank. But, fair's fair, it does crank up the volume with the music sometimes, which might be a bit much if you're hoping for a quiet catch-up. And that policy of shifting families out after half eight? It means the place can end up feeling a tad empty later on, which is a shame when you're out for a full evening. All in all, it's a solid choice for a fun outing, just keep those evenings in mind and you'll have a brilliant time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The decor is absolutely stunning and super Instagramable, with plush carpets and new furniture that make you feel right at home.
  • You've got those breathtaking sea views from the pier, perfect for a relaxing drink while soaking in the scenery.
  • The staff are incredibly polite and efficient, always on hand to keep things running smoothly and make you feel welcome.
  • It's got a lively vibe with DJs, singers, and plenty of entertainment, plus a massive beer garden that's great for outdoor fun.
  • They offer a solid selection of drinks and simple bar snacks, and it's buzzing with energy, especially on weekends.
Cons
  • It can get really loud with the music, which might spoil the mood if you're after a more chilled-out chat.
  • They have a policy of clearing out families after 8:30 PM, which leaves the place feeling a bit deserted in the evenings.
  • The music playlist is a tad generic and not everyone's cup of tea, so it might not hit the spot for music lovers seeking something unique.

What a lovely refitted bar on Blackpool North Pier. The decor here is very Instagramable. Lovely plush carpets and new furniture. Also an outside area with some covered and uncovered wind sheltering.

All good, very loud music on Saturday evening! I know it's Blackpool but we needed a bit of the middle grand venue. All good in general, lovely atmosphere and very polite staff. 5 star for sure. Thanks to Bloom

The decision to remove families after 20:30 was odd, as nobody out on the town wants to walk down the pier to this pub, they want to roll from one pub to another. This meant that the pub was deserted on a Friday night (my photo taken at 9pm). The music was also generic, no vocal dance that I’d never heard before. It felt like Creative Commons licence free music. Beautiful bar but terrible atmosphere

Have only been here on Saturday afternoons and we really like it. It's very busy and they have DJs and singers. There is a massive beer garden as well as a huge pub inside and each has it's own DJ. Beer prices are the same as any other bar with so many staff, who do a good job of keeping the place clean.

Bloom Bar North Pier is a beautiful bar to spend time in. The decor is so tranquil & comfortable. A great choice of drinks are on offer alongside bar snacks that include crisps & flavoured nuts. There is an array of free & very reasonably priced entertainment throughout the year! The views from the bar are amazing of Blackpool Tower, Central Pier, South Pier, & across the Irish Sea! On clear days you can see the rugged views of the Lake District. The staff are really friendly & polite. A nice bar to go too to relax & have a chat in such a lovely atmosphere!
