About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about the Black Beauty – it's one of those cosy pubs in Bottesford that really hits the spot for a relaxed get-together. From what I've gathered, the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and the locals add to that genuine community feel, like you're just joining in for a laugh. The atmosphere is spot on, with regular events and entertainment that keep things lively without being overwhelming, and it's dead clean, which is always a plus when you're settling in for a pint. They've got a good range of drinks and some tempting offers, plus that beer garden is ideal for soaking up the fresh air on a nice evening. On the flip side, the hours can be a tad restrictive, especially if you're hoping for a late one, and it doesn't seem to have much in the way of food, so you might find yourself nipping out for a bite. All in all, it's a solid spot for a friendly night out, but worth keeping those little niggles in mind if you're planning a visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home, just like chatting with old mates at the bar.
  • It's got a brilliant atmosphere with lively events and entertainment, perfect for a good night out with a mix of locals.
  • The place is spotlessly clean and dog-friendly, which is a real bonus if you're popping in with your furry friend.
  • They offer a great variety of drinks, including cracking deals like those £13 pitchers, and there's a lovely beer garden to enjoy on a sunny day.
Cons
  • The opening hours seem a bit limited in places, like closing relatively early on some days, which might cut short your evening plans.
  • There's not much mention of food options, so if you're after a proper meal with your pint, you might need to head elsewhere.

Fantastic environment, great feel about the place. The locals are friendly people and the staff are spot on. Dog friendly pub which is always a bonus and the place is spotless. They always have entertainment on weekdays and weekends. Great variety of drinks available and a good atmosphere. Unfortunately only bar snacks available, but across the road has plenty of takeaways. Beer garden is a comfortable place with plenty of seating. It's a great place to visit and enjoy a drink.

We recently played an intimate show here and must say we were very impressed. Not only were we treated like royalty but the sound guy was so accommodating and the owner couldn't do anything more for us really. The pub is exceptionally clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly. The pub boasts lots of space with a chilled out local/family vibe in an old school social club setting. Will recommend to all our mates.
