About This Pub
Ah, the Beehive Inn – it's one of those cosy pubs that really captures that community spirit, isn't it? From the reviews, folks are raving about the staff, who come across as genuinely warm and attentive, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's having a good time. The music scene is spot on too, with Thursday and Friday nights featuring talented DJs and live acts over the weekends, plus those karaoke evenings that sound like a right giggle if you're in the mood to join in. It's family-oriented as well, with a little food hut dishing out decent snacks, which is lovely for a relaxed afternoon or evening. On the other hand, their website was a bit of a letdown when I tried to poke around – it didn't load properly, so you might need to pop in or call ahead for the full scoop. And while it's affordable, the hours kick off at 1 PM, which could feel a tad late if you're an early bird, and the food's more about quick bites than hearty meals. All in all, if you're after a straightforward, enjoyable pub experience with good vibes and entertainment, I'd say give the Beehive Inn a go – it's got that charm that keeps people coming back.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff at the Beehive Inn are absolutely brilliant – always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got a cracking atmosphere with great music, live acts on weekends, and even karaoke nights that sound like a proper laugh with some talented singers.
-
They've got a nice family-friendly vibe, complete with a food hut serving up good quality snacks, perfect for a casual bite while you catch up with mates.
-
Live sport is on offer, so it's a top spot if you're looking to watch the game with a pint in hand.
-
Being an inexpensive place, it's easy on the wallet, making it ideal for a relaxed evening out without breaking the bank.
Cons
-
Their online presence isn't the strongest – the website had some issues when I tried to check it out, so it might be a bit tricky to get the latest details before heading over.
-
Opening times start at 1 PM, which could be a downside if you're after a spot for a morning coffee or an early lunch.
-
From what I've seen, the food options are mostly snacks rather than full meals, so it might not satisfy if you're really peckish for something substantial.
