About This Pub

Ah, Baaa 38 – what a gem tucked away on Market Street in Chorley. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really nails that cosy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to settle in for the evening. The drinks menu is a standout; they've got everything from brilliant beers and wines to exciting cocktails and even alcohol-free options, which is brilliant if you're driving or just taking it easy. The staff sound like absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, which adds to that relaxed, homely atmosphere. It's perfect for popping in with mates for a few drinks and some tasty pizzas or snacks – I've heard it's especially good for groups. But, to keep it real, there are a couple of niggles; the food choices are a bit on the basic side, and if you're vegan or avoiding pork, you might find yourself a bit stuck, as one person mentioned. Plus, with it only being open Thursday through Sunday, it might not be ideal for spontaneous midweek plans. Overall, though, it's got that winning combination of great drinks, friendly faces, and a laid-back setting that makes it worth a visit – just keep those dietary preferences in mind, and you'll have a top night out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely cosy and welcoming, making it feel like a proper home away from home.
  • They've got a fantastic selection of drinks, from great beers and wines to interesting spirits and cocktails – even alcohol-free options for those who fancy a non-boozy night.
  • The staff are lovely and really friendly; it's clear they're passionate about what they do, which makes the whole experience that much better.
  • It's a great spot for groups or a casual catch-up, with pizzas, bar snacks, and light bites to keep things ticking over.
  • With a solid 4.7 rating, it's clear folks are coming back for the relaxed vibe and top-notch service.
Cons
  • Food options can be a bit limited, especially if you're after vegan or pork-free choices – might leave some feeling a tad short-changed.
  • They're only open four days a week, which could be a downer if you're planning a midweek pint.
  • While the drinks are spot on, the menu doesn't seem to offer much variety beyond basics, so it might not wow everyone.

Everything is lovely in this place the only reason i gave it 4 star is because we had a staff day at Baaa and the kindly provided us with food but there were only sausage n bacon options no choice for vegan or pork free options. But i would definitely come back here again

A great place to go for evening drinks, catch ups or just a celebration for the end of the week. Great service from a very friendly team. Alex, Eddie and Lisa are definitely running an upcoming bar!
