About This Pub

Ah, The Shed Chorley – it's one of those spots that really pulls you in with its vibrant vibe and all the fun events on offer. I have to say, the live music and open mic nights are an absolute highlight; they bring such energy to the place and make for some memorable evenings with friends. Plus, with all those weeknight specials like curry and a drink for a steal, it's brilliant for keeping things affordable without skimping on quality. The decor's just lovely too – all cozy and unique, like sinking into a sofa with a blanket on a chilly night. But, let's be honest, it's not perfect; the layout can be a bit of a squeeze, what with the stage hogging the space, and I've heard a few tales of staff not being as welcoming as you'd hope, which is a shame because it can throw off an otherwise great night. Still, if you're up for a proper pub experience in Chorley, I'd give it a go – just keep your expectations balanced and you'll likely have a cracking time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Fantastic live music and events that really liven up the evenings and create a buzzing atmosphere.
  • A cracking selection of drinks, from ciders to spirits, with fair prices that make it easy on the wallet.
  • Brilliant weeknight deals like curry nights and burgers, offering great value for a casual night out.
  • Cozy and quirky decor that gives the place a warm, welcoming feel, perfect for relaxing with mates.
Cons
  • The seating arrangement can feel a bit cramped, especially with the stage taking up space and making it tricky to get comfy.
  • Some reports of staff being a tad rude or abrupt, which can spoil the mood if you're not lucky with your server.
  • It's only open a few days a week, so you'll have to plan ahead and might miss out on spontaneous visits.

Nice little place that does live music at the weekend and a huge selection of ciders, spirits etc. The seating / arrangement in this place does let it down. The stage takes up a large amount of space and the quirky, though lovely, back room set up again just maybe isn't the best arrangement to cater for more people. They let way too many people in the place last night to the point people were scrambling over each other to get to somewhere to stand but there just wasnt anywhere. A little concerning for fire safety.

I’m not gonna say the barman that served us was bad mannered because he had non whatsoever I will say he was incredibly rude Not a single please or thank you Short sentences Directed at me with regard to my daughter (22yr) “ Has she got some I’d” I most definitely won’t be coming back Oh and the furniture smells like an old man had relieved himself on it

One of the best remaining spots in Chorley, great atmosphere and a great variety of drinks. Live music always creates a great night out and fair prices. All the best, N x

Paulicarus is back in Chorley buying sausages off the market. Just a few steps from the entrance he found this bar..as facing..Shed on left and Garden on right. Shed has the bar and a small stage. Live music from 2pm today. Garden has toilets in far corner. Bar has three real ales on handpump. Paulicarus decided on Mowtown Rye Pale Ale, 3.9% from Wigan Brewhouse. Very good. Enjoyed the September sun on a bench to front, a pedestrianised extension to the covered permanent market with several stalls on this Saturday. Good start to the day.
