About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Aylesbury Harvester – it's one of those places that just feels like a reliable go-to for a relaxed meal with the family or mates. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, the food is a real highlight; you've got those mouthwatering rotisserie chickens and grilled options that hit the spot every time, paired with that unlimited salad that's fresh and adds a nice touch to the meal. It's got that warm, welcoming atmosphere that's spot on for families, with plenty of nods to making kids feel included, which is always a plus when you're trying to enjoy a bite without the little ones getting restless. The staff seem to be the real gems here – stories of servers bending over backwards to help, like with families who have additional needs, really make you feel looked after. And practically speaking, it's dead easy to get to, with free parking and all, so you can swing by after exploring the local attractions without any hassle. But, to keep it real, it's not all perfect; there have been a few tales of service feeling a bit rushed or not up to par, especially for something special like a birthday do, which could leave you a tad disappointed. Overall, though, with that solid 4.2 rating whispering good things, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're after a straightforward, enjoyable pub grub experience – just go in with an open mind and you'll likely have a grand time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – think juicy rotisserie chicken, grilled dishes, and that unlimited salad bar that's always a winner for a fresh and hearty meal.
-
It's brilliantly family-friendly, with a welcoming vibe that's perfect for kids, and they've got a dedicated kids' menu to keep everyone happy.
-
The staff really shine; from what I've heard, servers like Caitlin, Jenny, Seb, and Shaunna go the extra mile to make you feel at home, especially with families or those with additional needs.
-
Location's a breeze – right off the A41 with free parking, making it easy to pop in after a day out nearby, like at the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery.
-
They've got a great variety on the menu, including tasty BBQ plates, steaks, and even vegetarian and vegan options, so there's something for every taste.
Cons
-
Service can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming or off-kilter, like in that one instance where folks felt bombarded right after sitting down, which might spoil a special occasion.
-
It seems like experiences can vary; while most visits are lovely, there have been cases where things didn't quite live up to expectations, especially for events like birthdays.
-
The atmosphere might not always hit the mark if it's quiet, as it could feel a tad underwhelming, though that's more of a personal thing depending on the day.

came for a BIRTHDAY meal on the 8th.6.25
expecting nothing but a great time, but to our surprise was we wrong, We was seated and almost immediately was bombarded with staff, our friend stated her choice of drink, my choice of drink and my Partners choice of drink, for reference (2 soft drinks, 1 bottle of wine) now, we was asked for id, giving me and my friend doesn’t drink, my partner simply wanted a nice glass of wine and to take the rest home with him, to our surprise she said raise your hand if you need me, but vanished completely for roughly 5-10 minutes once arrived back to our table, we was instantaneously judged, then we placed our food order, now my friend has an Gluten deficiency and stated this to the waiter to which she was singled out the whole time, my food was completely wrong.
Moments later I had this feeling we was being watched constantly, to which we was the waiter then approached us and demanded they couldn’t let us leave the premises without completing the bottled wine first, Even though you’re legally Allowed to remove a bottle of wine you have purchased. To which he said “I can’t be bothered for discriminating behaviour” handed the bottle back over and we had paid and left.
I ordered delivery from here a couple days ago and I loved the food so much I thought I'd visit in person. Everything was lovely, my server Caitlin was amazing and so well mannered, the food came out quick as well. Would definitely come again!
Great breakfast experience, good food served quickly but without feeling rushed. Restaurant was quiet but pleasant surroundings and everything felt clean and well cared for. The star of the show was Jenny who served us in an efficient way whilst being very friendly and welcoming - just what you hope for.
Had a lovely meal. Shout out to Seb who really went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. He was fantastic with my daughter who has additional needs and made our visit the best it could have been.
Shaunna was absolutely amazing during our visit to Harvester! Her warm smile and cheerful attitude made us feel right at home. She was so attentive and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. It’s clear she truly cares about her customers. We’ll definitely be coming back.
