Went for food this evening, prior to a booked concert, in Manchester.
We were seated promptly & attended to by a lovely lady server, by the name of Lucy.
My Husband has an intolerance, which was noted by Lucy, who was very helpful, when making food choices & offering an alternative accompaniment, to his meal.
Lucy was an absolutely delightful waitress, who deserves recognition, for her hard work & dedication, to make dining at the Harvester, a very pleasurable experience.
Now, onto the food: my Husband opted for the ribs & I went for the chicken kebab. Both with the delicious sage & onion seasoned fries & my Husband’s came with onion rings (alternative to the menu, as this would interact with his intolerance) & mine with the fluffy flat bread.
We also both had salad, from the salad bar. The whole meal, was absolutely faultless. All perfectly cooked, fresh, hot & very tasty.
If anyone coming to the area, is undecided about where to eat, then please give the Harvester a try…you won’t be disappointed.

Had breakfast here this morning. This was one of the best breakfasts I have had. Presentation and taste spot on. Perfect to set us for the day. Recommend if you are looking for a great cooked breakfast.
Arrived and the restraint was quiet. Thought great, means quick service.
The server was very quiet, could barely hear him but was nice. Brought over our drinks, took our food order then gave us the bowls for the salad bar.
Unfortunately half of the veg for the salad bar had started to brown and go off. The pasta was also extremely dry. Other than that all the food was extremely tasty (recommend the 1983 combo!).
After the meal was when the issues began. Unfortunately we spent 45 minutes after finished eating without any service. About 20 minutes into that I presume the young male server finished his shift and he took an order from an 8 person table, went to the bar and vanished. I’m not sure what happened communication wise, as it took us an extra 10 minutes for someone to take our plates and then we water 15 minutes to try and get the bill but every time we tried to get someone’s attention we were acknowledged. That was until someone walked past our table so they couldn’t escape my “excuse me, can we get the bill please!”
I’m not sure if the service was poor because it was a warm, sunny Monday afternoon (the two of us arrived at 3pm). However, when there’s a maximum of 4 tables in at once, I was hoping the service would be better than it was.
My breakfast at Harvester was a delightful experience. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also good value. I also treated myself to a vanilla latte, which was the perfect complement to my meal. Kamila was friendly and welcoming and made me feel right at home, I was also impressed with how quickly my food arrived. Everything about the visit, from the food and drink to the service, was excellent, and I'm already looking forward to my next Harvester breakfast!
I recently visited Harvester Quayside, and while the food was nice, The salad bar was a great touch to the restaurant. the overall experience left much to be desired. The wait for the food was longer than expected, which dampened the dining experience. Additionally, the servers were very slow and seemed to have an attitude, which made the service feel unwelcoming. It’s unfortunate because the quality of the food had potential, but the poor service overshadowed it. Improvements in staff attitude and efficiency would make a big difference.
