About This Pub
Ah, Craftbrew – it's one of those spots in Salford that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From the reviews, it's clear folks love the warm vibes and the team behind the bar; they're spot on with their service, going the extra mile to make you feel right at home, whether it's helping out with a quick phone charge or joining in the excitement on a match day. The place has this great energy, especially when it's packed with fans cheering on the team, and the comfy seating and outdoor areas make it perfect for a casual catch-up with mates. On the flip side, though, a few have mentioned it's not living up to its name when it comes to the drinks – the craft beer selection is a bit slim, with more standard options dominating the taps, which might disappoint if you're hankering for something truly unique. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint and good company, but if craft brews are your thing, you might want to keep expectations in check and perhaps explore a bit further afield.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to lend a hand, like sorting out a phone charge or calling a cab in a pinch.
-
It's got a brilliant atmosphere, especially on match days when it's buzzing with excited fans and a real sense of community.
-
The venue itself is lovely, with fabulous furnishings, comfy sofas inside, and plenty of outdoor seating for a relaxed vibe.
Cons
-
The craft beer selection on draft is a bit disappointing – not as varied as the name suggests, with mostly standard brews rather than a wide range of ales.
-
The name might set you up for more craft options than what's actually on offer, which could leave you feeling a tad let down if that's what you're after.

A huge shout out to Caitlin & Luke to saved my day yesterday. A techno phobe, hardly any charge on my phone, in the total wrong part of the city when I should have been at The Lowry Hotel at a business conference that had started an hour earlier! They charged my phone AND called me a cab because I was just too overwhelmed! THANK YOU you kind peeps! 🫶🏼
Was such a great experience. My first time there and was on match day for the derby. Full of United fans and made me feel welcome and was an amazing atmosphere... YANITEDDDDDD ❤🔴❤
A lovely looking venue, lots of outdoor seating and comfy sofas inside. Friendly service however the name is a bit decieving as the craft bar selection on draft is poor. There are two cask ales on which looks like they rotate and one true craft beer, again a lovely guest from Ponoma on this occasion. Shipyard IPA and Brooklyn Pilsner are Carlsberg Marston brands and Peroni is also on tap. The fridge behind the bar looks more promising but awkward to see what is in it.
Lovely venue. Fabulous furnishings and surroundings. Friendly and thoughtful staff.
31/10/22: a quick stop off before watching The Shawshank Redemption at The Lowry. Quite a poor selection of draft craft ale. The name does not depict the venue and sadly lets it down. About 4 craft ale lines, the rest was lager. Standard brews, nothing out of the ordinary. However, they did have a fully stocked beer fridge with cans and bottles. I felt we would have been better suited staying in The Dockyard that had plenty more choice on draft. Chose to have Polly's Brewery pale ale and a Best Bitter.
