About This Pub

Ah, the Arrow in Nottingham – it's one of those pubs that really knows how to get the crowd going with its live music, karaoke, and free pool nights; I can imagine it's a laugh with mates on a Friday evening. The beer garden is a lovely spot to unwind, especially after a long week, and it's great that it's family-friendly, so you don't have to worry about bringing the little ones along. Sports enthusiasts will love it too, with all the live action on the screens – perfect for cheering on the team over a pint. Prices are spot on for a casual night out, and the staff deserve a nod for grafting hard when things get busy; they've managed to keep things ticking over even on packed days. On the flip side, though, the food's a bit of a letdown – I've heard tales of dry burgers and steaks that don't quite live up to expectations, which is a shame when you're hoping for a decent meal. Service can slow down in the rush, with waits at the bar and tables not getting cleared quickly, so it might not be the smoothest experience if you're after something quick. All in all, it's a solid choice for a fun evening if you focus on the drinks and entertainment, but maybe skip the grub or keep your expectations in check.

Really like the new beer garden but the food is dreadful. I was served a burger which is quite frankly the worst burger I have ever eaten in my life - it was dry, burnt and tasteless. I wouldn’t have expected fine dining but this really was terrible.

The pub as a whole was okay. The service was alright, but the food was beyond awful. I ordered a simple (rare) steak, chips and peas, they came out with a jacket potato a steak thicker than a leather sofa and garden peas with the consistency of play doh.

Visited yesterday was quite busy but very disappointed waited over 15 mins to be served at the bar due to only one person serving, tables were piled with pots as only saw one person taking food out but didn't have the common sense to cleared plates etc from tables when going back to the kitchen. Back to the first part of our visit after standing all that time waiting to be served we decided to leave. We have found this issue on more than one occasion since the venue has been refurbished. Hope these issues can be resolved by the Management.

The place was really busy, with Forest having a 7-0 win over Brighton and also showing England v Ireland in the 6 Nations Rugby, but saying that the staff were working incredibly hard to serve drinks and food, they did a great job at both. Food came out quickly, considering how busy it was and was really tasty, just what was needed! Lots of children, some well-behaved and you didn't know they were there, others were running around, play fighting in front of the bar which is dangerous to the staff serving food and people carrying drinks to their table.
